God can be praised in this way because I got saved two years ago and have the spirit of God living inside me. I walk with him everyday and preach to everyone I see. I also am a youth leader and play in a Christian band! To God all the glory. Wonder how many people you have brought to Christ? Man I'm an atheist but have always loved For Today. I always said they were just the true examples that if it's well enough executed, it doesn't really matter what they say. But I've been listening to them for over a decade. I have even met Matty once. But over the years, I catch myself practically praising with my hands raised while screaming along with the song. But what's the craziest for me, is that I can NOT listen to this preach without crying my eyes out. I don't know what it is, but I would follow Matty to the end of the earth because I know he would lead me the right way. Maybe one day I will change my mind but I just don't know what to believe.

I'm a youth leader with my background playing in metal and hardcore bands God knew what I need to help me in my walk, it not for everyone but for me that came from a background of converge,deftones,hatebree etc, bands like For Today, The Devil Wears Prada, Fit for a King etc have helped me battle my demons and get me closer to God!
I love For Today! And I also love Mattie's sermon in the video! It touched me! I've realized that Christian Metalcore has drawn me closer to God as well And to those that say that this is devil music, do you realize that any other "Christian" genre that Christians took and evangelized with is just as worldly! Stop judging this band! Satan has used pop and rock as well if you wanna try and tell me Satan only uses metal to harm people! That's "Devil music" as well, but Christians took the music and started evangelizing with it! It's not the style of music that makes it "Christian-styled", it's the MESSAGE!

People all feel God and worship him in different ways. And some people who would never find God in a different way can find him through this. And it's something beautiful and diving when a metal band can help people realize that God is there. Help them feel God. No demon in the world can't make into a For Today concert. And it helps people find God. God can be praised in any way, including this. I understand it's confusing and not "normal", but the praise is there, even if you don't feel it.

People want free will but question why God made us with the capacity for so much evil. You can't have it both ways. If you want free will, then you will have the capacity for love and hate that comes with it. Yet God still gave us a way to eacape that hate. A savior was the only way to maintain free will while providing a way out from the hate and our sins that come from that hate. It's beautiful. This guy said more in a few minutes than most preachers will tell their church in a year.

You are the reason I have lost kids from my youth group because if you are what it mean to be Christian they want none of it. You sit there and judge him by his looks and by his style of music, but you forget that the Bible says not to judge by what on the outside. This man and his band show more of God's love to young people then judgmental, self righteous people like you who sit back in you comfy pews and sing your hymns and make sure people know how "Godly" you are.

Why can't God be praised this way he created music and when we sing loudly praise to him( Psalms 132:16) the glory is all his. We need people like him to bring souls from the far reaches of darkness into the light.
