This is why I love this band! He just proves that you can be whoever you want to be and listen to what you want to listen to and still be a strong child of God. There's nothing better than seeing the front man of a band like this reaching out to thousands of people to spread the word of God.

ugh, I love this band and their music and I'm not going to stop loving them, but I don't get the religious thing. Why can't you change the world for the good of humanity? For yourself? Why does it have to be "for the glory of god?"
Because, we choose to glorfiy the God who gave us everything. which is what Mattie proves.God has given him a voice and platform to bring forth the kingdom.
He didn't prove anything but I'm not looking for a religious argument because I know nothing I say will tear you away from your faith. He gave himself a voice. Everyone on that level has worked for what they have. God didn't do it, he did. If the idea of a God helps him or others that's fine, but it has no place here. For today does a pretty good job of keeping their music pretty neutral, as in you can take it how you want to and there's not much obvi religious references in their content. I like that about them. But all this religious talk draws me away. I don't see the point in doing things for a god that you aren't sure is real when there's a world out there that needs changing. Maybe that makes me a humanist but I just don't get it. Why God first? Why not the world first? Why not man first? Why not actually believe in something that you can actually touch and feel and see? Too much time spent praying and not enough time acting in my opinion.

One day, every eye will see, God is not dead nor does he sleep.
And there it is. Vaguely threaten all the non believers with your foreboding prophecy. C'mon man can't you see how hypocritical it all is. Your God is a god of love and peace but unless you believe in him you're going to burn in internal hell fire. What is loving and peaceful about that? I say screw worrying and wasting your life trying to get into and heaven and enjoy the time you here and maybe make a difference.

If you don't believe that someone died for your sins, then your sins are still yours and everyone thats sinned deserves hell. If you believe Jesus died and rose again, for your sins, then you get to go to heaven. If you don't believe, then your sins are yours to atone and since no one can atone for them on their own, you go to hell.
