Amazing band, Lovebites is once in a lifetime band. I love their style of metal and it just amazes me what they have been able to combine so perfectly.
LOVEBITES are probably the most musically talented metal band to appear in the last three decades. Individually they are elite musicians, playing technically complex music while making it look effortless.
A few years ago I saw a recommendation on youtube of Lovebites covering Helloween's "Eagle Fly Free" and I thought "No way these girls do that song justice". I was so impressed that after watching it, I ordered nearly every Live Blu ray and CD. They instantly became my favorite new band and I went to Dallas to see them live this year. Bucket list item crossed off. Wolfpack for life.

@TheLionsReaction the drummer and bassist were in a band called Destrose. Don't react to them. But I found one of their albums on TH-cam it's really great. I recommend Skykiller or Headless Goddess those are my favorite Destrose songs. Destrose is a dead band. They were great but couldn't get along with each other or something.
What a great reaction. Band Made is the top band in Japan for hard rock, and LOVEBITES is the top band for heavy metal. They are also highly regarded worldwide. You can tell by looking at the number of views. They may both look unique, but every song they play is highly musical, and the technique and power are overwhelming, and I think it will be wonderfully moving. They resumed their world tour last year, and I'm sure LOVEBITES will become an icon of orthodox heavy metal.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Lovebites is one of the best bands in our country. Their live performance is much better than MVs. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands (Band-Maid whom you reacted to is one of them). They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
The American all-female band THE RUNAWAYS experienced their miracle outside of their homeland. In the summer of 1977, their booking agent secured dates in Japan, where they played a series of sold-out shows. They were not prepared for the onslaught of fans that greeted them at the airport. JOAN JETT later described the mass hysteria as "just like Beatlemania." While in Japan, THE RUNAWAYS had a TV special, made numerous television appearances, and released the album Live in Japan.

I was a big fan of METALLICA, i respect them if they've disappointed me, like many western bands. I discovered the Japonese metal scene and I was shocked, why western scene is not capable to do this anymore. I saw LOVEBITES in Paris 🇨🇵 last June. The concert was incredible and best time in life ( the previous one was a METALLICA private concert in Paris in 1997). I felt in love of those ladies. Next song THE CRUSADE.

Welcome to Lovebites! My favorite band of all time. They're probably the greatest classic metal band to come around in the last 3 decades or so, bringing back metal from the glory days but making it newer and making it their own. If you like that style, they're definitely a band you should check out more of. They literally don't have a bad song. It's unbelievable that they are all in the same band, as they are all amazing. Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about my favorite band: LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They also played their first US shows this year in September. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs. Many will recommend SSS (Soldier Stands Solitarily) for next reaction, for good reason as the musicianship is mind-blowing. Recommend Set The World On Fire live. From 2021 and typically the follow up reaction to Holy War to see how they've progressed somewhat since this is from 2020. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, their entire discography is phenomenal. Elite musicianship / vocals in every song, literally, every song. I see you've already found the 'fanbase' (Wolfpack). Almost all first time reactions are nice, but it is especially satisfying for me when a fellow musician listens. You don't just hear a 'Great song', you hear hours and hours of dedicated practice, and a level of technical mastery that is almost unbelievable. All female Japanese metal is diverse and deep in talent. You just did Lovebites and they are just superbly talented. A couple different bands still metal but way different are Nemophila and Hanabie. Hanabie just released mv for My Type and Nemophila Oiran live are both great strarting points for them. As for Lovebites Set the World on Fire live is my choice for a 2nd song. Man you are lucky as the Japanese metal scene, female, male or mixed bands is in my opinion the best in the world right now.
For a second track, I recommend the thrash metal Metallica-style “set the world on fire” or the speed metal “soldier stands solitarily”. Personally, the second is my favorite of Lovebites' entire discography.

If Metal is a Drug then Lovebites is probably the best Dealer in town. I havent heard a group of Gals ever lay down the Metal like Lovebites does. They take Arena Shred Speed Metal and up it a few Tiers. They play Thrashy, Classy, Heavy and Melodic all at the same time. 60 songs of Fire so far. Enjoy Japan at its Finest.

Were you confused when you saw the stage costumes of BAND-MAID and LOVEBITES? In fact, there are so many bands in Japan, more than 100 of which are exclusively female, that they have a hard time getting people to remember their names. Therefore, they need to have a distinctive feature that other bands do not have, and the most obvious way to do this is through makeup and costumes. BAND-MAID used the uniforms of a “maid cafe,” a Japanese subculture where the band founder worked part-time. And LOVEBITES chose “white feminine costumes. Using the color “white,” which was considered inappropriate in the metal scene up to that point, ran the risk of isolating them from their surroundings, but they decided, “We don't care if we are treated like lone wolves, even if it means we are treated like lone wolves. We do what we want to do.” and dared to choose that costume and made the wolf the symbol of the band. And those bitten by the LOVEBITES began to call themselves the Wolf Pack.

Amazing band, Lovebites is once in a lifetime band. I love their style of metal and it just amazes me what they have been able to combine so perfectly.
LOVEBITES are probably the most musically talented metal band to appear in the last three decades. Individually they are elite musicians, playing technically complex music while making it look effortless.
I think we all can agree on that

A few years ago I saw a recommendation on youtube of Lovebites covering Helloween's "Eagle Fly Free" and I thought "No way these girls do that song justice". I was so impressed that after watching it, I ordered nearly every Live Blu ray and CD. They instantly became my favorite new band and I went to Dallas to see them live this year. Bucket list item crossed off. Wolfpack for life.

@TheLionsReaction the drummer and bassist were in a band called Destrose. Don't react to them. But I found one of their albums on TH-cam it's really great. I recommend Skykiller or Headless Goddess those are my favorite Destrose songs. Destrose is a dead band. They were great but couldn't get along with each other or something.

What a great reaction. Band Made is the top band in Japan for hard rock, and LOVEBITES is the top band for heavy metal. They are also highly regarded worldwide. You can tell by looking at the number of views. They may both look unique, but every song they play is highly musical, and the technique and power are overwhelming, and I think it will be wonderfully moving. They resumed their world tour last year, and I'm sure LOVEBITES will become an icon of orthodox heavy metal.

If you try to think or analyze the band's BPM, songs, and music based on traditional concepts of a metal band, I think your understanding of Lovebites will be limited and one-sided.
This heavy metal band continues to evolve.
They don't stick to one genre of metal music.
Sometimes it blends different metal music genres together, and sometimes it blends classical music.
They have a variety of genres of metal music that they think are good, and they have the skills to perform them live.
Sometimes their songs are on the border between metal and hard rock, and if they call it metal music, then to me it is metal music.
LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 11 June 2018, LOVEBITES won '🏆BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.

On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.

LOVEBITES performed as a support band for "Arch Enemy's China tour at the Shanghai show on March 23 and the Beijing show on March 24, 2019".

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Lovebites is one of the best bands in our country. Their live performance is much better than MVs. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands (Band-Maid whom you reacted to is one of them). They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
The American all-female band THE RUNAWAYS experienced their miracle outside of their homeland.
In the summer of 1977, their booking agent secured dates in Japan, where they played a series of sold-out shows. They were not prepared for the onslaught of fans that greeted them at the airport. JOAN JETT later described the mass hysteria as "just like Beatlemania." While in Japan, THE RUNAWAYS had a TV special, made numerous television appearances, and released the album Live in Japan.

They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal,hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, R&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal. All this makes their style unique.

You now have had the privilege of witnessing the Metal Queens in action. The best metal band to come along in decades. Midori (blonde hair) and Miyako are the best guitar duo I have ever seen in the 40+ years of listening to rock and metal. Many band influences Lovebites has - Deep Purple, Helloween, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Metallica, Motorhead, Pantera, Slayer, Testament to name a few.

I was a big fan of METALLICA, i respect them if they've disappointed me, like many western bands. I discovered the Japonese metal scene and I was shocked, why western scene is not capable to do this anymore.
I saw LOVEBITES in Paris 🇨🇵 last June. The concert was incredible and best time in life ( the previous one was a METALLICA private concert in Paris in 1997).
I felt in love of those ladies.

Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

Welcome to Lovebites! My favorite band of all time. They're probably the greatest classic metal band to come around in the last 3 decades or so, bringing back metal from the glory days but making it newer and making it their own. If you like that style, they're definitely a band you should check out more of. They literally don't have a bad song. It's unbelievable that they are all in the same band, as they are all amazing. Here some information about my favorite band:
LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray.
In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest.
They also played their first US shows this year in September.
In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs.

She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

Many will recommend SSS (Soldier Stands Solitarily) for next reaction, for good reason as the musicianship is mind-blowing. Recommend Set The World On Fire live. From 2021 and typically the follow up reaction to Holy War to see how they've progressed somewhat since this is from 2020. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, their entire discography is phenomenal. Elite musicianship / vocals in every song, literally, every song. Enjoy the ride, and strap in, because it's a Rollercoaster and will get emotional at times...you'll see. 🤘

All female Japanese metal is diverse and deep in talent. You just did Lovebites and they are just superbly talented. A couple different bands still metal but way different are Nemophila and Hanabie. Hanabie just released mv for My Type and Nemophila Oiran live are both great strarting points for them. As for Lovebites Set the World on Fire live is my choice for a 2nd song. Man you are lucky as the Japanese metal scene, female, male or mixed bands is in my opinion the best in the world right now.

The Lovebites formed in 2016 and have published 4 LP and 5 EP (the last in august 2024). The members are:
ASAMI, singer, composer and Lyrics maker, called "The one and unique voice"
HARUNA, drummer and founder of the group, an authentic drum-machine, called "little big engine"
MIDORI, guitarist (the blonde) and composer, called "crazy shredder"
MIYAKO, guitarist (the dark haired), pianist, main composer, the genius of the group, called "golden touch"
FAMI, bass player, the youngest and very talented, called "shining fingers"
Fami joined the band in 2022, after the former bassist MIHO, that you've seen here (great bass player she also) left the band for personal reasons.

If Metal is a Drug then Lovebites is probably the best Dealer in town. I havent heard a group of Gals ever lay down the Metal like Lovebites does. They take Arena Shred Speed Metal and up it a few Tiers. They play Thrashy, Classy, Heavy and Melodic all at the same time. 60 songs of Fire so far. Enjoy Japan at its Finest.

Were you confused when you saw the stage costumes of BAND-MAID and LOVEBITES?
In fact, there are so many bands in Japan, more than 100 of which are exclusively female, that they have a hard time getting people to remember their names.
Therefore, they need to have a distinctive feature that other bands do not have, and the most obvious way to do this is through makeup and costumes.
BAND-MAID used the uniforms of a “maid cafe,” a Japanese subculture where the band founder worked part-time.
And LOVEBITES chose “white feminine costumes.
Using the color “white,” which was considered inappropriate in the metal scene up to that point, ran the risk of isolating them from their surroundings, but they decided, “We don't care if we are treated like lone wolves, even if it means we are treated like lone wolves. We do what we want to do.” and dared to choose that costume and made the wolf the symbol of the band.
And those bitten by the LOVEBITES began to call themselves the Wolf Pack.
