- If you're in Chiang Mai and thinking about extending your stay beyond the 30 (or 45 until March 31) days, watch this video. I'll discuss the TM30 requirement and what you need to obtain to complete your visa extension.

Thanks for the informative video. I want to get my TM 30 done. So do I have to get a number to go to the TM30 office at the main immigration?
Are you staying at a hotel? If so, talk to the front desk about your plans and they should be able to assist, providing you are staying there for the period you plan to extend for. If with a friend or renting someplace, the person providing the space should be able to help, otherwise you will need to go to the immigration office and have them assist you.

I did my 90day Non-O visa yesterday, and I have got to go back in May to get my 1year retirement visa. I live with my girlfriend at her house and we asked the agent we used yesterday about this TM30 and she organised a document that confirms me staying at her house and she has to renew it every year if I am still living with her. I also have a yellow book that has my address confirmed. The document she was given yesterday does not state TM 30 but it’s an official document with a signed immigration stamp and officers signature. Do you think I need to be concerned?
??? What photos do you need? What copies of what from your passport do you need? How many? Where near the office can you get these done. Is a confirmation from your hotel sufficient for the Festival office?

Thanks for the comment. Did you watch the entire video? Everything you need can be done at the site for a fee. The video includes the instructions on what is needed from the passport and how many. As for the hotel provided confirmation, that was also covered.
Also, don't go to Festival nice and early - most days it doesn't open til 11.00am!!
@@thewanderer8 Immigration opens at 9, you will be able to get in via the door next to immigration that leads to the parking lot. You can wait until later if needed, the place isn’t as busy as the main office. Just keep in mind, if you don’t have verification of your address from your hotel, you can’t do it at the Central Festival site, you will need to go to the main immigration office.
