    I'm gonna confess that I finished the first and second game with pirated copies. After I got a better job and had more disposable income I bought both game, full price on Steam (as many other games I remember playing like that).

      not just that.. they know why people play the games... they want to be entertained with good stories.. and not something that will last 5-6 hours but asks for full price.. for me, CDPR is the No1 game developer.

    By giving away a few bucks of free content, CD Projekt Red has guaranteed themselves a lifetime of sales from me, regardless of the title, & I vowed I would never pirate their games.

      Same. I live in eastern Europe and I'm pretty broke (even by eastern standards) and I admit that I sometimes pirate games but I would never, ever do that with a CDPR game. They're fair with their customers and their games are definitely worth the money.

    Always love the interviews with CD Projekt RED. They seem both humble and confident and it shows in both their products and conversations. They are always listening to the fans, always seeking improvement but also trusting their own creative abilities and independent spirit. They take their time and it shows. Quality will trump piracy any day.

    Great, very interesting interview!
    I love how CD Projekt works, their attitude and beliefs. They're so focused on pleasing the customer and they really make an effort to understand what players want and how the business works -no matter if we're talking about their games or GoG, it's great to see & I'm glad that they sold this much and made profit. They really deserve it. I hope we'll see a lot more titles from CD Projekt in the future!

After playing it on my pc, (works like charm) I suddenly regretted that I'm ripping their hard work and sweat... I felt very pathetic for my actions.. They didn't deserve this.. They deserve better, no.. They deserve MORE!! I'm gonna buy this on gog the next time I play it.

    Kudos. The Witcher 3 is the best game I've played this generation of consoles. What CDProjekt did was incredible. The share size of the game, the level of detail, all the stories, that have different outcomes and ending. You can tell when a developer loves what they do and despite the constant updating on consoles, I appreciated that the game got better and better.
    By time they got to the DLC the game is tremendous. I can't wait to see what they do next. Cyberpunk? Doesn't matter since they know what they are doing and like Rockstar, the attention to detail is tremendous. Finally a company that make single player AAA epic games, great story and great gameplay that will be better than anything multiplayer. Please no MP. We have way too many of them especially the awful add-ons taking away from the game....except R*

    I do the pirate thing sometimes, but mostly it's just because some games run so shitty, I don't want to pay full price for a game that my machine can't run properly, or is laden with bugs. Even though Steam refund is a thing, it's a short duration before you are ineligible for the refund, often too short to know if the game runs well. If it's game I put time into and enjoy it, I always make a point to buy it at a later date.

    • @KlineStife
      @KlineStife 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      two hours isn't enough for you to get a feel of how the game runs?

    • @heckyes
      @heckyes 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Fuck no. Take Vermintide for example. The combat system is so unique that it takes like 40 hours of game play to even recognize when your hit registry is failing. There is lots of random glitches in the game too that happen about once every 5 games. Unfortunately, you can't pirate a multiplayer only game, so whatever, I got stung on that purchase.

      Where in the world do you live where you can only test drive a car for few minutes before buying it.
      So you don't think my reasons are valid? You think it's OK for companies to sell you complete garbage and broken promises.
      Can't tell if you're just trolling me or have a legitimate argument here.

    • @angeltzepesh1
      @angeltzepesh1 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I always like people calling pirates names. What does it matter to you? Those people will not buy the game anyway, so whats the point. Why u get so mad if someone is stealing if its not from u? Or ur mad that u pay for it and others not?

    • @Chng30FsCenEry
      @Chng30FsCenEry 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @White Shadows Where to start. First, thieves who pirate games and never actually buy it increase the cost for the rest of us. Second, game producers, like CDPR, who actually want to make great games and treat their customers well are damaged significantly by pirates, which causes them to, at the very least, delay ambitious projects, like TW3. Third, piracy forces companies to turn into corporate hacks because they need to show their shareholders that they are taking a firm stance. Lastly, since when is stealing okay?
      I can empathize with people who can't afford to buy games, and most decent people will at least try to pay for the game when they can, whether that is right away or once they have the money. Decent people also feel shame for pirating games and only do it once in awhile when they are desperate. They don't downplay piracy or even encourage it.

    I used to pirate games because i was tired of getting fooled all the time. I pirated both the first and second Witcher game. After playing the second one for about two hours i decided it was worth it and bought it. I also went back and bought the first one, not to play, but to support the company. I'm still not a fan of the first game, and i'm probably never going to play it, but i'm very happy that i bought it.
    They earned my trust, so when witcher 3 was about to come out i bought it straight away. The fact that they now sell DRM-Free games on GoG Galaxy have earned my loyalty, if possible i now only buy games from GoG. I do think most people who pirate games are people who have a very limited gaming budget, and in my life, those people buy the games they like.

      They are making a Game of The Year version. It includes all the DLC with the game and I think it's only 60 bucks. If it's not 60 bucks CDPR always put their games on sale to help people who can't afford the game get it.

    If I'm enough wealthy to buy a game that I woud like to play whole day - I'm definitly buying it, either way if I've not money or if I'm from some African poor country and I can't buy a game despite its goodness - I simply cannot buy it and have to download illegally. So these guys have made right decision and plus have gamers' love as well as pirates' love. PS if you have enough money to pay off for this game and you won't be left hungry for tomorrow - you have to buy it.
