Summer Noybn the point was making an egg McMuffin and the bacon, and then eating it and cleaning up and then going to work, that takes about an hour total, defeats the purpose of having a to go meal
Samantha Houmani that shouldn't take you an hour though... an egg takes like 5 minutes to cook and you can toast a muffin at the same time the egg and ham is cooking. I'm pretty sure you could find a version online. We had a waffle sale and I tried vegan waffles and they were awesome. Batter-wise they should be fairly similar?
I use gluten free flour from Tesco, and a dairy free milk (gluten free oat milk is my go to) for my allergy friendly pancakes. They don't brown in the same way as normal because there's no milk sugar (lactose) to caramalise but they're a good substitute.

Traditional pancakes are about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, firm and fluffy. But I guess pancakes can be thinner or thicker. And then crêpes have a different recipes and are very thin, like a fingernail(before cooked) and are typically rolled or folded when served, along with fruit and fresh cream.
Same in Germany, we call them Pfannkuchen and they are the size of a plate but not as thin as a crepe. Pancakes we call the small and thick American version- even though Pfannkuchen actually means the same 🙈
Rach, when I make the banana and egg pancakes, I pour some in, let it sit a bit then add more batter. That makes them thicker. They're my fav discovery ever!
okay listen i NEED to know where you got that toaster that doesn’t make the toast jump out at you! it would be nice to not have a mini heart attack every morning
For the breakfast sandwiches: I wrap mine in cling wrap and then put them in a freezer bag, then when I microwave them I wrap them in a damp paper towel and it works great! For the pancakes: try eggs, bananas, and oats! They come out with a pancake consistency and are really yummy :)
I’ve tried the banana and egg pancake mixture before and loved it especially if I premake the batter on the weekend then cook during the week before work. It was delicious and gave me so much energy for the day.
1) now I want breakfast for dinner...#3rdbaby #pregancymademedoit 2) I make the frozen sandwiches AlL the time. You don’t need the extra water...when it freezes little water crystals get trapped... try it without that
I love oats and I've been making pancakes with them for years! Am I alone? 😅 My recipe: - 3 egg whites - 3/4 cup of oats - a bit of baking powder - a bit of cinnamon and/or vanilla - either one of this two: 🍌) one banana for blending 🍎) one apple for blending (and another one in cubes added to the mixture) You can also add a bit of a sweetener if you're planning on eating them without any toppings :)
Hey Rachel, for the Cinnamonz pancake recipe, there are two tricks. 1. Increase the banana to egg ratio, accordingly, to get a thicker batter and more pancake like consistency. 2.Use really sweet and ripe bananas. That makes it taste less like a banana omlette. So since u are using really sweet bananas it will be ok to use less egg, and it not taste too eggy. I have optimized it myself. Also, eat it with a sprinkling of muesli on top for extra crunch. And switch maple syrup for honey for a healthier breakfast.
Sorry for the long comment in advance BUT... Hopefully it’s helpful lol I used to work at the courtyard Marriott, and they way they made their premade breakfast sandwiches are pretty good. For one of them, they assemble egg whites (scrambled), Havarti cheese, spinach (raw), turkey, and an English muffin. Wrap it in cling wrap. Then put it in the fridge (lasts for 5 days). Then they would cook it in a speed cook oven (or at home I cook it in a toaster oven). It’s really good! Or they have one that has scrambled eggs, bacon and cheddar with ciabatta bread. Or one with cheddar, over hard egg, ham and a croissant. All really yummy! And they all last for up to 5 days in the FRIDGE not freezer 😄

@@SpringFae I tried making English pancakes with gluten free flour, soya milk and eggs a few years ago. They were okay but not the best haha. Might try them American style. Is there such thing as gluten free oat milk? I eat gf porridge but never seen gf oat milk.
@@TheYNirvana I've not found a way to make them allergy friendly and just as good as normal ones yet either.. never tried the American way because of buttermilk etc. Rude Health have a gf oat milk. It's the only brand I've found that does it.
Girl Crock pot liners are a life saver 😍
Is it only in sweden where our pancakes are big and thin? 😂
Same in Argentina.
We do that in Norway aswell, and no it’s not crêpes haha
Alexandra Koivumaa Finland too 😀
Traditional pancakes are about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, firm and fluffy.
Pancakes we call the small and thick American version- even though Pfannkuchen actually means the same 🙈
Best video ever🤗. Love the breakfast hacks!
Who else loves her channel
Rach, when I make the banana and egg pancakes, I pour some in, let it sit a bit then add more batter. That makes them thicker. They're my fav discovery ever!
okay listen i NEED to know where you got that toaster that doesn’t make the toast jump out at you! it would be nice to not have a mini heart attack every morning
It's Breville! bit.ly/2zFy4d5 (this is an affiliate link, you don't have to use of course, just helps support the channel if you do! 😊💕)
Wasn’t it ironic chris wearing a tshirt with CORONA written on it😂
I love this !!!!! I love all your videos ❤️❤️❤️
I always eat the most for breakfast
That Kirkland maple syrup is so good!
"oatmeals take such a long time".. in Finland we have microwave oatmeal which gets done in 2minutes #easyoatmeallife
Also in france
In the US we do too. I prefer hot water from the coffee maker or a kettle
Regular rolled and steel cut oats microwave fine. I don't get all this overnight stuff. Just not needed.
I’ve tried the banana and egg pancake mixture before and loved it especially if I premake the batter on the weekend then cook during the week before work. It was delicious and gave me so much energy for the day.
umm i need chris's waffle recipe please!
I love these videos!!
P.S. crockpot liner bags are a life saver!
1) now I want breakfast for dinner...#3rdbaby #pregancymademedoit
2) I make the frozen sandwiches AlL the time. You don’t need the extra water...when it freezes little water crystals get trapped... try it without that
All of these recipes combined to make me want French toast sooo much. Happy and healthy 9 months to you, fellow pregnant lady!
mebeshell yum!! THats my favorite!!yay! Congratulations to you too! I’m due The same month as Rachel! You?
I love oats and I've been making pancakes with them for years! Am I alone? 😅
My recipe:
- 3 egg whites
- 3/4 cup of oats
- a bit of baking powder
- a bit of cinnamon and/or vanilla
- either one of this two:
🍌) one banana for blending
🍎) one apple for blending (and another one in cubes added to the mixture)
You can also add a bit of a sweetener if you're planning on eating them without any toppings :)
when I see a food video, I drop everything and click 😂❤️ can anyone else relate?!
ps: I make videos too! xo
I can relate
Same name!
Love it when Chris is in a video! So awesome that he did those few seconds of the oats and turned it on high! lol
Now I want Chris's waffle recipe.
He should have his own cooking hacks section!
Ixie Pixie Rachel should try some of Chris’s recipes
Yesss, I love when you post while I can watch and get ready for work 🤣
did you say your friends' name was Caroline? Omigosh MY name is Caroline!!!😁😂🤣
That's also Chris's sister
I love having breakfast for dinner, breakfast foods are my fave!!
Chris: “butter?”
Like if there’s no butter than I’m not eating it
Hey Rachel, for the Cinnamonz pancake recipe, there are two tricks.
Wait, you had a slow cooker on overnight? Haven't you watched This Is Us? 😭
Omg yeess! I cried so much when the fire started😭😂
Why is literally everything you say so relatable?? 😂❤ #subscribed
breakfast 😍😍😍😍😍ly❤️ also first 😊
You can add oats to the banana-egg-cinnamon mix to make it fluffier.
Watch simplynaillogical's overnight oatmeal recipe😂
Love you rachel, you got me into baking
I would just keep fresh muffins and freeze the eggs and stuff 🤷🏽♀️
Sorry for the long comment in advance BUT...
Hopefully it’s helpful lol
I used to work at the courtyard Marriott, and they way they made their premade breakfast sandwiches are pretty good.
100% pure maple syrup *NOT THAT AUNT JEMIMA BULLSHIT*
that's the way I said it !
Oh my gosh. You have to do a video with chris making his pancakes. I'm intrigued
Post a video about your weird food cravings as the pregnancy progresses!
That is one hell of an extra toaster. Rach, you have made it in life! 😊
I'm just gonna stick to my boiled egg & cheese , then the coffe, much much easier lol
You should do a video where Chris shares his cooking hacks!!
Don't add milk to your eggs
I went to culinary school and adding milk/water/half and half/ or heavy cream is actually a technique people use to make eggs fluffier :)
Jenny except in this scenario it makes it watery when reheating
@@JosieWalker0531 well... I'm a bit picky so eating eggs that aren't fresh is something I would never do.. it takes like 2 minutes to make fresh eggs anyways 🤷♀️
You guys are such a cute couple, and the way you talk to each other is just adorable. Definitely relationship goals haha.
I dunno wat to say😭😂but im so early does that happen to anyone else????
For the banana and egg pancakes, I also add a little bit of vanilla and they are so good
Hi I love you
They make disposable liners for slow cookers! I think Reynolds? Best thing ever!
I’m cringing at the microwaved sammich lol so gross. Maybe a toaster oven would be better? Like no microwave at all lol
Not everyone has a toaster oven.
I love your videos so much💕💕🧡
You.... microwave things in JUST the microwave.... no plate? Sorry, but that's a big no from me.
