It wasn't a freestyle match. It was a MAWA tournament. It's a lot of old dudes that use to wrestle. Refs are pretty much just there. It was illegal, but not called. He missed a 2 PT takedown as well. It was all in good fun, he went on to win the tournament (guy in the green)

I don't know the rules for freestyle wrestling, and the referee said the top guy clasped at 1:06. But they did not wear headgears when they were wrestling on the mats.

When one kid has a let in and the other kid stands up the ref is supposed to stop the match as it is a potentially dangerous situation. That injury was on the ref.
@Matthew Lemley bruh, he had no control, he had no arms around the guy, all the control he had was at the opponents discretion, a slam is controlled, for the most part, but he also never lifted him from the ground, so if he never lifted him then the rule of being responsible for his safe return to the mat via touching your knee first before the opponent hits the ground doesn't have any effect. Think of it like a extremely good trip but backwards. That's pretty much what happened my friend
