Iam 66yrs old a slow learner still learning electronics here, and i must say you are a very excellent teacher who shows and explains things very well ,Many thanks to you.
you are legend i very thank for this video because i dont have osciloskop to practice find how good tl494 softstart is work or not but after watch your video now i know my problem solved, thank assalamualaikum
More clearly now after waching this video, especially on no4 pin (DTC) - waiting for video controlling op amp as current sensing, I tried modified several PSU , it worked on controll voltage but always failed in controlling current. It give me @only 30w instead of 200-300w as I expected. Thank you for nice presentation video & waalaikum salam, dear brother.
Great, Haseeb! I tested the soft start on single ended mode. But my wave only increases the duty cycle, not the voltage, like yours. All range is 12V...
good morning dear i will check it if it is changing the duty cycle, that is good i will recheck again, i think voltage will not change it will change the duty cycle i will check again and will reply
improper biasing of error amplifiers filter capacitors connected to the compensation pin de-valued CT timing capacitor stray capacitance in the circuit improper dead time control at pin number 4
Can you please help make a 12- 24 volt DC auto soft start circuit that resets itself when the load connected is removed. And soft starts again when load is connected again?
Hello sir, m ek class d amplifier pe kaam kr rha hu, jo k ucd design h bina ic wala, uska one side ka mosfet zyada heating de rha h, jb ki dusri side wala normal h, iska kya reason ho sakta h?
But Rs forms a voltage divider with the R parallel with the Cs, so pin 4 will never go to 0 V. Is 100k ohm feasible to be as close as possible to 3 % dead time or can it be even higher ? (100k is C discharge time of about 0.2s )
okay dear. i will try, even i can make on a pcb, but i love to explain everything in front, so everyone can follow the connections no problem i will try to make in parallel on the breadboard as well please accept my best regards and lovely thanks
Salaam sir, I am Israr Ali from Hyderabad Sindh, kindly guide me about my Rigol DG2041A function generator. It was after shown a message on screen (overload waveform), and suddenly disable square and pulse waveform at output terminal but showing voltage on output terminal, and other all waveform are properly appearing on output terminal, so kindly guide to me that, how can enable square wave and pluses wave on output terminal? Best Regards Israr Ali
A real light bulb moment for me with this video, thank you for the clear and detailed explanation! I have one question. You demonstrated that the pulse width could be modulated by either the duty cycle or the dead time control. SMPS design utilizes the duty cycle method to control pulse width, what is the reason for this? Hope that makes sense?
You are the best instructor on TH-cam without a doubt!
best regards and special thanks
Exactly best 👌 of the best 👌

amazing video ! The best on tl494. It is what I was looking for, thank you very much
thanks a lot
it is my pleasure
If you have an email I will send you a diagram of the 494 that I have never seen, very interesting to analyze@@HaseebElectronics

PWM works at frequency above 300 hz.
This is true I got the same waveform on my homemade CRT oscilloscope. Thanks.
How much resistor value between pin reference and pin 4 at 16:52 ???
How much value of voltage in R1 for maximum duty cycle at 16:52 ??
Good work Sir 👏

Good job bro. Thank you so much
plz make a video on AT2005/SDC2921 IC and run it separately just like you are running this TL494 IC...that would be very helpfull for us
have a nice day back from nadi
assalamualaikum, where i can plug the probe osciloscope, to pratice wacthing softstart working or not?
Excellent 👍
Beautiful
thanks a lot
What may be a possible reason for unstable frequency on pins 9&10? Tnx
improper biasing of error amplifiers
filter capacitors connected to the compensation pin
de-valued CT timing capacitor
stray capacitance in the circuit
improper dead time control at pin number 4
@@HaseebElectronics thank u; obviously a long way to any success

in 6.27, u said in part 2 that r1&r2 no more than 5kohm but in this vid the r need more than 5kohm. Im confused in that part. 😅
