as a local and an employee, purg is ass if you don't know where your going. If you do tho, and are willing to traverse a bit, its amazing. you just have to have the attitude that you traverse instead of hike, its not bad. sometimes its kinda annoying on a deep day if on board, but with skis and poles you wont ever have an issue.
Local and Instructor here, traversing really sucks on a snowboard, and the more you ride purg, the better purg is. Gotta find local secrets and it really is made to be an all around mountain, so nothing too extreme. lots of local park rats, so the parks are always in tip top shape. glad u liked it
they are not. I love this place, I learned to snowboard there. Durango is the greatest city in America. But if you've skied copper, steamboat, vale, ect. you will be very underwhelmed.
Thing with purgatory it’s also for people who want to ski instead of waiting in long lines like telluride or vail same applies for budgeting for lodges and lift tickets etc

Ninja trail is the way to get back from the goods for sure.
I'm a local! Lets plan for next year, you missed all the good tree runs
Only minus abt purgatory is the lines if you go before tourist it’s rlly good and back side never has lines
Oh no!
Do you think that the Purgatory runs are better than Copper runs?

@@adaml2987 oh ok 👍
Lift 3 has the best runs IMO. Lots of very fast rolling blues. Purg will always be a special place to me.
Been skiing at purg since I was 3 years old, learned to ski there, amazing resort, but it’s getting freaking expensive now sadly
Kyle is indeed a solid dude
Yes 🙌🏼
By far my favorite resort!
Purgatory bought my local mtn, Willamette Pass. Good upgrades and mtn still has hometown feel ❤

I’ve gotta say the food at purg was some of the worst I’ve had. Yea there is some variety but it was super disappointing
i thought the waffle stand was good
@@eclipse8114 that is one thing I did not get to try while I was there. Hopefully going back this season and I’ll give them another try
Bruh, how the F do you not know what a Chalet is by now. You say it in every video.
