In Spain this song is viral hahaha, so many people has created memes and love lyrics. At first I thought like you: meh, it is a generic song with some latino vibes, but as much as I have been listening to it, it becomes most and most memorable XD. In fact, a friend of mine and me we start our phone conversations with "hola mi bebébé" :D. Love to our lovely Romanian siblings ♥

Romania is not what it used to be …people are more open minded, the young generation changed the whole perception of different sexual orientation being a bad thing therefore acts like this where we see 2 men dance etc are accepted and they are even a winning act as we’ve witnessed. Well done to the young generation !!!

I've been watching WRS from the beginning of the Romanian selection this year. You should watch his first performances, it changed so much in just a few weeks. The first performance he was not moving much at all, just subtle dances and all alone. The second performance was a big difference, with 2 female dancers and kitchen cloths in their hands, and now the movements have changed a lot again, with 2 female and 2 male dancers. I wonder what will happen on Eurovision. 6 dancers? 😂
Anyway, WRS was my favorite Romanian song from the beginning, so I'm happy he won. The song feels rather dated, but in a good way. It reminds me of Romanian songs from 15 years ago, it feels very nostalgic and I'm here for it!

I appreciate the honesty of your reaction. What really gives me confidence in my country Eurovision song and performance for this year is the amazing capacity of this boy WRS and his team to make it better and better each step he takes. (huge improvement in two weeks). This song will grow stronger....revamp, vocal and backing vocal, effects. After all, we all are struggling to be the best version of ourselves each day, so it doesn't matter if this song will qualify or not, will be top 10 or not. This was most people's third or fourth at the very beginning but there were two songs knocked out, a Gypsy metal rock accordion song called 'Malere' and a Pop song from ARIS that's quite fitting to the Ukrainian situation as it means 'Goodbye' in Russian! However, the system was VERY corrupt, as after a round where the public voted there was a round where the jury eliminated the MAJORITY of the fan favourites. There were VERY FEW good songs left. The polls showed this and a song by Dora called 'Ana' were fan favourites from what was left. The final round was also very corrupt, as the Jury had *5/6* of the vote and the public essentially only had _1/6_ meaning they were just a tiny percentage of the final thing, so it was really juries who picked this. The Jury had many connections to the singers including the singer of 'it's my life' who somehow got knocked out before this final round. In theory, they should have just done an internal selection.
However! It's AMAZING to see WRS's journey on this selection. At the start of the process, he was nervous, just stood there, with minimal staging, sung an original version of the song with parts removed and NO dancers. Round by round, they added something and the song actually evolved due to people's feedback. People said to him to add dancers and to dance more during the dance breaks. For the final staging, it was good and there's a final bridge part of the song that really makes the song better than just being repetitive so I think WRS did really well with the song he got. Also, the Romanian language seems very Spanish/latino.

Romania has some strong past happy-fobic tendencies and there's plenty of that sort of comments even on the official TV site, so yes, this entry is good from that perspective too.
Even though he's doing a Ricky Martin/Pablo Alborán thing in his music videos, for this he was courageous enough to change that narrative...and it's Eurovision, so it might actually help.
It's catchy, has gorgeous sexy dancing girls, and he added the guys too and pushed the boundary a bit.
It has something for everybody, so it will do well.

I didn`t like this song at fist listen but I couldn`t get the chorus out of my head so I went back to it again...and again...and again. I saw him perform it , just him and some musician at an outdoor performance @saga I think it was called and the sound and his vocals were both very much better than this one . I think that if they don`t mess up the staging or performance on the night this is going to be fun memorable break from all the ballads and , speaking as an Israeli, I`d like to see them both go through but if I had to choose I`d go for this one as it`s much more fun and enjoyable.

I kinda agree with what you said. What seems funny to me is that the jury's opinion in the semi final was that songs that go to the eurovision should BE in english or have ENGLISH lyrics. Randi repeated that obsessively to almost all the Romanian song entries... so yeah there's that. The jury this year was SO out of touch with what actually happens in Eurovision. Oh yeah, and Randi's argument to english lyrics was that "everyone should understand what you're saying"... which is sooo dumb imo
