Bellows Campground Review // Military Vacation on Oahu Hawaii

Bellows Air Force Base on Oahu's Windward Side has three campgrounds: ocean front, "lettered" campsites, and group campsites. They also have cabins, cottages and condos all in a resort style beach front property that is next door to Lanikai Beach and the MOKES (MOKULUA ISLANDS). This is not to be confused with the Bellows Beach Park which is just off base and open to the public. When you look at google maps it will only show Bellows Beach Park, not the actual military campground on Bellows Air Force Base.

🪖 If you new to our channel, we are a military family stationed in Hawaii for the next few years. John, my husband, re-enlisted in the military after being out for ten years. Kind of crazy. But John was a Marine and he loved the Marines. Afghanistan Veteran. The only reason he got out was for me. Back before online jobs or school, he gave up the Marines and allowed me to start my career. I had an amazing career spending years growing and working with Target as a Store Director. But with Covid came many changes. One of those was the desire to stay home and homeschool Alexandra and Hailey. And so it opened the door for John to do whatever he wanted to do. He re-enlisted, but this time we both agreed the Army. After being out so long, John had to go through Basic training again or OSUT. Six months of that followed by waiting for command sponsorship for our first OCONUS move and the family has been apart for 10 months. Crazy considering this wasn't a deployment. But we made it! We are now stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii for the next 2 to 3 years and feel truly blessed to be here!

In Colorado I went camping at a camp ground on my 8th birthday with my mom and dad and my dog Koda. I also would play portable water game since i didn’t have my windows 2000 computer with me.

In Hawaii I went camping at Camp Erdman with my mom and my friends from school as part of a school trip when I was in the 6th grade in January 2009 just before I moved to Fort Meade in Maryland later that year.

In Maryland I went camping at Gathland state park back in Labor Day 2018 with my mom and dad and my dog Henry and Nate and Katie and Alexander and Victoria and we did s’mores together and I also did a 24 hour challenge of No TH-cam at the campsite. My parents also had to drive our trash to a machine just like they did when me and my parents lived in Allsworth court when me and my parents first began living in Maryland.

I also went to the Jackson Rancheria rv park for camping with my mother and grandparents in June 2018 which was my last summer there before my grandparents moved to Oklahoma in last year in 2021 and while there I had a good conversation from a couple that was from Florida about the weather and I to answer their questions about the weather that Maryland has.
