Blessed evening in Trinidad we usually add cassava, coconut, sweet potato (opt) and pumpkin along with several spices. These include: nutmeg, cinnamon and all spice opt) and also black pepper which gives it alittle kick and small piece of ginger. This sweet treat is quite delectable. I guess it depends on your preference as well. Thanks for sharing your version with us.
I like the idea of adding pumpkin and black pepper, will have to try it out! We add pumpkin and sweet potatoes to Conkies which is steam in banana leaves. I have to try Trinidad's version one day.
The RiRi of cooking, lol I like that. A lot of people would like to order cakes from me but I'm going to give you something even better, stay tune for my upcoming Christmas cake. I will teach you exactly how to make it. its not that hard to make.
You are right, the cassava and coconut have more of a course texture when grind in a mixer verses gartering, which is more smoother. however its a choice, I prefer the mixer because I tend to grater my nails an fingers every time.
Always a Pleasure to watch you in the kitchen 😊
Thanks! I have fun making these dishes.

Which of the cassava u use the dweet 1 or bitter oh it look like the sweet 1
The Cassava I used was not bitter. Thank you so much for watching.
Making cassava pone putting the cassava and coconut into the blender the texture is not the same as if you greater them its better that way

I normally add a little grated ginger in my cassava pone.
I'm sure a little ginger will enhance the flavor even more. Thanks for watching.
We in Barbados add milk
Instead of water I use milk.
Me too, and I like it gooey
Watching from Barbados. Stop wearing nail polish, your watch and wedding band when preparing food.Otherwise wear gloves.
