19:34 "Aaayyy como me duele, como me duele, como me duele que te saquen a bailar!!" I love my people. We're always whistling or singing a classic tune hahaha
It always happens from munchies videos, its so common to see people say that the food is not authentic just because it is done by a hipster and such. Food is food regardless of who cooked it, if its good, then fuck it I'll eat that shit, should it even matter who cooked it unless its a master chef? Just look at the breakfast milk iced latte on their channel, dear lord!
Love these guys! Really talented, real Chefs and really amazing food. Their simple focus of what their core flavors are explains it all. San Marzano tomatoes, pecorino romano cheese, and outstanding olive oil, just brilliant. Blessings ChefMike
De hecho esas cocinas están dentro de las 10 mejores del mundo. La mexicana, francesa junto a la Peruana son patrimonío no material de la humanidad :) Su riqueza y variedad son interminables además del proceso que conllevan, son cocinas milenarias.
TheMexikingisback2 No problem, trasnlating a bit, I said that Mexican food togheter with Peruvian and French cuisine are patrimony of humanity. Italian and chinese cuisines are in the top 10, I agree those countries produce the best food in the world! Saludos desde México Mexi King
Loved this episode. Makes me want to experience Mexico even more. I was born in mexico and glad to see how the cuisine has grown. And that apple.. who was smoking?
Good episode. I have been training the palates of our European brothers and sisters here in Southern Thailand of all places. Keeping the Mexican flames alive and having a good time doing it. Spread the love and eat Mexican!!
Pujol is pretty pricey, but me and my friends managed to find a decent restaurant in Condesa called "Azul Historico". That was legit. If you ever go to Oaxaca, Casa Oaxaca, La Biznaga, or most anything on the street is absolutely incredible.
In our new episode of Being Frank, we head down to Mexico City to hang with @enriqueolvera at @pujolrestaurant. Check out more Being Frank here: munchies.vice.com/show/being-frank/ Subscribe to Munchies here: bit.ly/Subscribe-to-MUNCHIES
chivo, Viva Mexico Viva El Frente/Verde been going there since 77, and great culture and great food, where I live in El Salvador and Guatemala, horrible food, unless I cook, great ingredients and food sources just different, that are least changing what is inside pupusas I did it in early 90's trained my maid to cook pupusas con cangrejo y camarones
Mario has more important issues to deal with nowadays than people’s golf skills lol. Sad how the mighty have fallen. He was the first professional chef I ever met way back in the early nineties and looked up to him
Franks are away from the kitchen for a long time, that eggplant dish should had been done in the oven (add oil to a tray) put it in the oven, bake/fry there, or just get 1 tray the size of all the stove and do it there.
Mejicanos "acomplejados" felt they are being done a favour by these middle of the road chefs from Brooklyn. Eggplant Parmesana? Really?. The one thing they have that Mexicans don't is a high paid publicist>>
I thought the restaurant Pujol was supposed be pronounced like Pu-Hol but one of the guys from New York is LITERALLY saying like it's Pu-JOL. Am I the only one who's confused here? #WTF
This has nothing to do with being frank. These guys have obviously huge education flaws stemming from ignorance of a UNESCO honoured cuisine. I am personally shocked. I can see they are positive towards the mexican cuisine, but the ignorance - given their position - is shocking to me.
So let me understand this, these guys go to Mexico to cook the food they usually cook with in the US...they are cooking Italian etc. with products they brought from Brooklyn... I thought they were in Mexico to showcase Mexican culinary traditions...That's kind of disrespectful!
It's the point of the event to bring your stuff and showcase it at Pujol. It might not be the smartest thing to show in an episode on Mexico but I don't think it's disrespectful. And at least they tried to infuse some Mexican ingredients.
Brandon Chu. Ask where is he/she's from. Where I'm from, it can be taken in a negative way be called Hispanic, of course some would take it has a positive way. My family consider our self Mexican. If you want to find out b/c of the last name sound foreigner or appearance, just ask where did your ancestor come from? Please avoid guessing calling someone based on your taught.
Mejicanos "acomplejados" act like they are being done a favour by these middle of the road chefs from Brookling. Eggplant parmesana? Enough said. The one thing they have that mexicans don't is a high paid publicist>>
Makes me so proud being Mexican, just watching this reminds me of my mother and abuelas delicious cooking. Que rico!
Curioso que escribas en inglés...

Just wait for one fucker to complain about something stupid and little from the video. Otherwise, this episode was amazing. Keep it up munchies.

Also to pree cooked eggplant I'm sure it was all soggy.
I like that idea of inviting a chef to cook for one night at your restaurant. Its like inviting musician to have a dj set at your club
"Sorry your dish is late, our chefs are all hammered" lol
Love these guys! Really talented, real Chefs and really amazing food. Their simple focus of what their core flavors are explains it all. San Marzano tomatoes, pecorino romano cheese, and outstanding olive oil, just brilliant. Blessings ChefMike
Awesome! Mexican, Italian , chinese and french are the best in the world.

Wooooo!

Was that an apple pipe at 18:00?

18:01 is that what i think it is?
"What? No more girl eats food?" said the lonely stoner as he burned in the pits of lucifers bowels

carnitas de perro?
Is there a difference between calling someone Hispanic, or Mexican? I was always taught it was more polite to call them Hispanic. Please educate me!
Well hispanics are not only mexicans...

Hispanic is a culture, Mexican is a nationality
Hispanic is Spanish decent, Mexican is for people from mexico , then there's central & South Americans so.....
Hispanic/Latino is an ethnicity or descent and Mexican is a nationality.
