Im loving the Ten Wheeler! One thing I noticed is it seems like the snow gets deeper on the tracks now. The snow also stays around if you set it to overcast after it snows-maybe that was a thing before.
i think this update locks great also..however i wish that there was a better way of dumping old files that are more then 30 days old especially those that play everyday
Hey there. I need help with Railroads Online. When I try to start the game all I get is an error message saying "The UE-arr game has crashed and will close. Fatal error". How do I fix this? Thanks in advance
I'll tell you the specific laptop qualifications that I have on mine and it runs it perfectly. I have an Acer nitro 5 gaming laptop with Intel core i7 in it. It runs the game just as smoothly as any high-performance gaming PC wood and I'm not going to lie to you it's honestly cheaper to do that than to go purchase a PC. I got mine off of Amazon for $949 when it was on sale now it's $1,095. But it's still cheaper than a gaming PC because I'm factoring in monitor mouse keyboard PC itself after all of that I probably be paying around $5,000 or a little less money so I would suggest getting what I have if you don't have that kind of money there are cheaper options on Amazon you can look up the specific laptop I told you. there are cheaper options so you know just look into it and you can run the game just as well as I can. I had the same situation I had me like a little work laptop that I played railroads online on before they switched to unreal engine 5 and after they switched to that the game wouldn't even load and it run like a slideshow so I just went ahead and waited and I got my laptop just a week ago actually.
The fact that the snowplow loco exists means that they could have designed a regular locomotive in a similar way and run it with potentially mixed results I definitely would have liked to see how such a loco would run
We started with regular updates since our partner Black Sheep joined in August 2023, as they help us with programming and we didnt have the capacities before for so many updates.
It looks good and I like it but the game has crashed 2 times and the locomotive purchase menu would only look around with the camera and I was unable to click on anything. I love what they're doing though. Also the knuckle couplers are doing weird things but it's only the first day
i guess the freecam when placing rails should be a sort of easy mode, is it good for rerail n stuff.. but i feel kinda cheating with the freecam on railing... no more falling down cliffs while doing bridges XD
@@wesw9586 yeah I went through and I looked through everything it's not there anymore the only one that's there is for holding the gold stuff and that's it
Dude be careful what you say on here I've had like three or four people harass me telling me that they would have had two or three freaking engines behind it instead of having it propel itself be careful what you say on here. But let's be honest it would be really cool to get the strip down without the plow version of that engine that runs the plow and have it move like a geared locomotive in the game that would be awesome
The only thing that I'm disappointed about is that this new snow plow looks like it could be a locomotive that could pull something but they didn't bother to add any kind of attractive effort for it so it makes me upset because they've got it in the locomotive section but it can't pull anything so it makes me sad. Could you imagine seeing that thing chuffing down the track with a load behind it
I mean, historically and for what they are known for, most are known for having to get pushed by another engine, and there isn't really a labeled section in the shop. Plus I think it's only in there because it moves its blades
@@southernwolfgamingplows and flangers are maintenance of way equipment. Non revenue cars. There is no purpose to have them be self powered. In the prototype they were pushed by 3+ locomotives and when not being used for the select weeks of winter are stored. It's a simple matter of company economics. Why would I pay more for more unnecessary machinery when I already have invested millions worth into my current locomotive roster. Why would I pay more for something that's just gonna sit 7/8 of the year just so I don't need to use one of the locomotives I already own on those days? It's wasteful and frivolous. Companies only buy what they absolutely need, if they bought more than that it'd cut into profits of the shareholders. Also, the plow that this is modeled after is not self propelled. They're following historic standard and portraying that standard.
@@corbinyoung6979I get it it's not supposed to be but I'm saying I think it would be cool to have an engine that could be stripped down from the plow that would run on the same type of engine setup as that plow. Or making it its own self-propelled vehicle so that it can haul a train and plow the snow at the same time without having to have three or four locomotives pushing it. You want to talk about companies just purchasing that plow to use for a certain amount of time why not purchase just one plow that you can keep in the maintenance thing and make it self-propelled so that you don't have to hook up and take away from possibly 3 to 4 train that could be running but instead they're having to push that plow around that's my viewpoint on it
@@corbinyoung6979 I get it that it's historically accurate. I am saying it as a "it would be cool if" scenario not saying "oh there's one" I'm saying it would be cool if there was one.

I am having way too much fun with this update. I am really enjoying the new survey tool. Really helps with the grades
No way. About time… I am amazed at some of the grades I have guessed in the game but finally
To start blowing the snow out to the left side of the plow, move the baffle _and_ the reverser to -100
loving the new turntable and roundhouse i put it on your pine valley map along with the gold industries
haven't played since december physics update wrecked all my fun ski jumps 😑
might try it again, see what shenanigans i can make trains do now 🤔
Thanks for your first look 🙂
Thank you for another great update. Lots of good things in this one.😀
The march update looks so fun I really sound play it.

Developer video said you can put multiple round houses together of the new one.

I would look around in the Steam forums. There were some fixes and suggestions there.

Wow loved how my comment got removed
@@southernwolfgamingit’s still there
1:55 that’s actually the Johnson bar, also called the reverser. It controls steam cutoff irl, probably not in game
It does in game, kAN gaming proved it in his playthrough
@@datguymiller Does it affect steam usage, or just speed and power? If it’s just speed and power then it’s not exactly correct.

After the announcement of Century of Steam, they really starting moving...
Yeah because before they were the only 3-foot gauge specific railroading game where you built and managed your own railroad. Now they got competition

guys what happened to the passenger car in the game? i can see the mail car but the passenger car is gone
Hi there, its a bug, the Passenger Car will be back with the next Hotfix. 😊
@@Sandy_RRO oh ok
how do you get the update because it didnt work for me
You have to be on the beta. This was just a beta update. You can opt into the beta in your steam settings.
I'm noticing that the passenger car is gone. I need that back that was the prize car for me. :(
Like not in the buy menu?

Rotary snowblowers are not self propelled unfortunately
The real life one wasn’t self propelled it needed one or more locomotives behind it to plow snow
