Really good explanation, seeing it laid out like that made so much better then anything else has ever done - there are way too many unnecessary complications in the clues on this puzzle as well as the stars and diamond symbols not looking remotely similar so unless you are some sort of puzzle solving genius there's very little way of approaching this logically.

Never in my life could I have figured this one out on my own. From a glance, It appeared to be a Myst level 'overthink everything to find the solution' but then I see this and I think 'oh, It was that simple'. I thought the original idea was that (and this might sound silly); You took the positions of the ORIGINAL singular glyphs and then played pokemon with them ala the final puzzle in Broken Sword II. xD
I noticed something trivial. If you go to the tent (seen at 0:43), and look at the desk in there which has four notes, the leftmost note you find seems to depend on the version of the game. Some find a note that doesn't actually register as a note for the journal (so it's not needed for 100%), while in others, it does count and it looks different altogether, and it's even shown in the journal, taking up most of the left page. For example, you got the former, so nothing was shown of it in your journal page (seen at 0:35), unlike in mine. My note reads: Rotating the "north" in the wheel causes the symbol to change quadrant The other note (based on youtube videos) reads: The panels rotate by moving the dial... Sentence start? Changing the "north" There are 13 or 14 notes in this puzzle area, depending on which one you have in your version. Maybe it's a PS4 thing (since that's where I'm playing), or maybe it's an update thing (I'm playing on 1.01).
I had an additional note, I guess they added it because it was too confusing…it didn’t help at all because they wrote the important word in quotation marks so it became extremely vague! I thought I had to build each symbol one by one instead of building them all together. Definitely just brute forced it. I did get the two on the right side, but the two on the left had my brain fried. I'm not much of a puzzle gamer, but the story sounded intriguing, so I'm giving it a shot right now.

I still don't get how we are suppose to focus on the puzzle when the notes point elsewhere.
Dude... since I didn't look it up online, I randomly got it right after 2 hours. So I loaded up a save spot before the puzzle and spent another hour figuring out how it ACTUALLY works. I knew i was overthinking it, but didn't know which aspect of it haha hope this helped.

this puzzle is one of the worst puzzles that i have ever seen the papers next to it and the hints shows you that its complicated and you have to combine words to make it in the right order so i thought i had to combine shapes because one shape equals a word and there was only one word for each one and i have to form the right sentence but i didnt know how to connect them i tried so many things and then i went a level deeper and started creating new sentences and then i went even a level deeper than that and started looking at the shapes on the walls that looked like numbers from previous puzzles so i had to combine them with the phases of the transition of a human into a water animal but that didnt work so i went too deep this time and i started deciphering the other shapes on the wall to translate them to english based on the numbers and the words that are already translated and the understanding of the phases of the human transition but in the end i gave up after looking up the solution it turns out you just have to match the same shape like youre a 10 year old and everything written on the papers did not matter and theres no logic or a meaning for the puzzle and that makes me so mad about the time i invested in this

I can't seem to understand why the last one HAS to be 1-2-4, if you rotate the northern star to the east (or right) position, it could be read as 2-4-3.
it took me 4x to watch this explanation in order to properly understand the logic behind this puzzle. Even with diamonds rotating, which is the most logical sense, this puzzle will still be very hard to solve. Without diamond rotation, it's pretty impossible to understand it. I was thinking all the time that paintings on the wall are reference on how to rotate

this puzzle is stupid, seriously tho. The only puzzle that i dont feel bad for looking up on youtube cus the fucking hints are just too distracting, they make you interpret all over the place, yet the solution is much, much more simple. Like the 4 hint, you only need the number, you dont need the words and the sympols written with it, it made me play the word combining game for hours for nothing.
