We used to get 22-24 episodes a year of stuff like Babylon 5 and Deep Space Nine, with wars starting and ending, amazing character arcs. Now it's two years waiting for 8 episodes of nothing happening.
I truly miss the 20+ great episodes for a good show. Sigh..
And with so many episodes, having “filler” episodes was more acceptable and provided a chance to focus on minor characters, or flesh out the main ones more. It also allowed time to develop the universe or lore.
I’d add BSG, TNG, StarGate, and Farscape to that list, too.
I would say that having a 22-24 episodes that were filmed within a year could involve brutal work-schedules on the cast and crew.
Chris Judd (God of War) has talked about having to work on Stargate so much he missed a lot of time being with his kids and how much regretted it. Richard Dean reduced his leading role to returning character role, to spend more time with his daughter.
But 8episode seasons with 2 or more year productions is the other extreme, so surely a better balance could be reached.
Been rewatching Babylon 5. The show amazing for its time. I also think it holds up better to show know days. I’m fine with 12 episodes show but 8 is too short.
Yea, those old seasons of TV shows weren’t spending “budget Hollywood movie” levels of money on producing a SINGLE EPISODE.
Maybe that’s the solution? We need to back to an era where TV shows were produced with more “sensible” budgets?
Meanwhile, you have utter tripe like The Acolyte and the Halo TV series on Paramount+ costing $100-$200+ MILLION a season and they STILL end up looking kinda “cheap.”
People will argue about the production quality and I agree too an extent. The quality of everything is off the charts compared to something like Babylon 5, which looked cheap. However, there has to be a better balance between the cost of production and quality of the show. The story is suffering.
Ya I've never seen a finale episode where the goal was to get through it just to get to season 3. A failure on how not to stretch a series. Spending 5 episodes on Daemon dreaming was ridiculous.
No it fucking wasn’t, that’s the only reason why his change at the end made sense. You people are dumb sometimes.
The writer's strikes had a big effect imo
They even dragged out Rhaena claiming the dragon in the Eyrie. I was sure they would show that in this episode after building it up for the past 2 or 3 episodes but even that got pushed to next season.
@@Qwyte you think they wrote bad on purpose, got lazy or just rushed it?
@@Qwyte nope that didn’t affect them, the scripts were already written.
The Queens meeting TWICE this season behind enemy lines is some of the dumbest writing I’ve ever seen. So unbelievable and story breaking.
Dont FORGET they can teleport and are basically Ezio-splintercell-solidSnake levels of hidding 😂
The dialogue is secondary (and bad)
At least the Rhaenyra one was somewhat believable because of the subterfuge, the Alicent one she just strolls right into the keep in her normal attire
Yeah its dumb and how the fuck Alicent alone with her stock outfit got in Rhaenyra's chamber. It was old good teleport and writing on the level of GoT S8. Even ealier Rhaenyra do teleport to Daemon but of course in last 10min of last episode is just cheap and leazy writing.
@@Crobian What are you talking about? The setup was done but Alicent surrendered herself to Rhaenyra. She didn’t sneak into the castle.
First one was acceptable but the second one was pointless
Rhaena running around the Vale is dumb cuz the writers of the show kinda forgot that the Vale is filled with savage Mountain Clans that love to kill and kidnap unprotected Vale nobles. How is she not been spotted by the Mountain Clans? In season one of GoT Tyrion was spotted right away by the Mountain Clans as soon he left the Arryn’s Castle!
We kind of forgot about the mountain clans
Dragon scary
Use your brain. The mountains clans are going to stay away from the dragon area.. Rhaena was running throughout the dragon area as she wanted to find it.
@@lightvader4618 Rhaena was running around for days based on how she looked after leaving the castle and going on her own which is plenty of time for a band of mountain clans to spot her being unprotected. Sheepstealer is known to love Mutton it only preys on sheep so I’m pretty sure as long as you are not around sheep you’re gonna be fine since Sheepstealer is not known to go after humans unless provoked.
@@ferrjuan Rhaena followed Sheepstealers trails. She followed the burnt places and dead sheep. And she was chasing for like a day. One night passed. The mountain clans aren't following Sheepstealer. They definitely aren't moving through those places with burn marks and dead sheep
All filler, no killer.
Welcome to modern tv shows where episodes are limited, 2 yr waits, a few mins of events/action, pointless build up and all the name of ‘subscription profits’
Gone are the days of strong shows and solid trilogies.
If they’re concerned about ‘budgets’, why even bother producing HOTD?
How did we go from 22 ep season shows to 8 and most of that filler?
@@Mement0o I think it's cause there are like 10x the number of shows in production at any given time vs 30 years ago.
Nice Sum 41 reference
This right here. Couldn’t have said it better
Part of me doesn't blame the writers since they're trying to come up with 5 seasons of material with like 200 pages. It was like when they tried to make the Hobbit into a trilogy based off a children's book.
Comparing House of Dragon to the Game of Thrones series, those showrunners had 4200 pages of material to pick out the TV friendly bits.
I remember when people said season 1 was just setup and season 2 is where things will get really crazy.
Many big moments were underwhelming (blood and cheese) or completely glossed over (battle of the burning mill).
Best thing about this season is how subtly stupid and inept Rhaenyra became over each episode.
In the books she didnt do anything either after her first kid died @iheartcicada
@@mastercheif522991 I’m a book reader, highly interested in the lore. I knew the potential of this show ultimatelywent down the drain as soon as they hired someone who doesn’t even understand their own gender identity, to act as a highly complex female character.
Both seasons were bad, dialogue lacks the sense of believability of game of thrones seasons 1-4
I swear this season feels like the showrunners read an Alicent/Rhaenyra fanfic in between seasons and it rewired their brain chemistry.
Yeah they combed Twitter and all the yuri addicted teen posts. And decided to just go full tilt on Rhaenyra Alicent. Even tho the story is not about their relationship. It’s about Rhaenyra versus her brothers. Fullstop.
@@TheKillaShowTo be fair, I like Alicent, Olivia Cooke is fantastic.
@@italianwaffle5592 she is, but her character is just not that relevant to the story anymore, and HBO is struggling to make stuff up for her.
One of them said they were letting the actors add their own desires into scenes…hence how we ended up with Rhaenyra randomly kissing Daemon’s abused sex slave. 🥴
Agree and I didn't mind at first but its been bothering me more and this episode highlighted the worst parts of each character and I thought it felt like fanfic as well....
This season severely needed 10 episodes. Battle at the Gullet should have been the last two episodes
Absolutely, its the perfect finale for a season. Very weird pace
The fact that they had the option to go 10 episodes like S1 and chose only 8 makes so much sense now. They gotta drag this crap out for as long as possible given it will only be 4 seasons.. 🙄
Abso fucking lutley bro they fucked up this season by shortening it so much I swear
@coreymckee4844
Naw the other way around, they're gonna burn through the war in one season.
Dunk & Egg is coming so House will end at 3.
This season needed bigger budget. There was enough of filler to fit the battle, if they wanted, but I am afraid, that they just cannot afford more then one battle a season.
I've seen reactions of people loving Daemon's "vision" scene but all it did for me was remind me of the insignificance of the White Walkers and the terrible Game of Thrones ending. The Night King ended up being a joke and was defeated in a single episode.....
Imagine walking to The Wall for 8 years straight, IN REAL TIME, just to get trickshotted by some random teenage girl on the first day there.
It was a joke, but technically the Night’s Watch had been fighting them and losing for a long time, he wasn’t technically defeated in a night, but I know your point and agree. That episode was so bad it’s hard to know where to begin, or end (the whole season was, should’ve been a couple seasons).
The finale was no filler. The ENTIRE season was. I don't care about Allicent or her feelings. I don't care about Daemon's visions, and I don't CARE if Jace feels like a bastard.🙄
This season could have been an email.
Savage but accurate
📠
Yes I also saw this joke and stole it
@@RebelDoughnut I came up with it though. A few years back.
Just like monthly meetings at work which could be summed up in a paragraph.
When I saw the vision scene with Danerys and the white walkers all I thought was, "Oh Joe is going to fucking hate this."
Those callbacks would be amazing if GoT got the ending it deserved. But nowing everyone being scared shitless of the White Walkers ends with Arya's little dagger switcheroo just ruins so much of the intrigue and epicness
I hated the reference and showing it…
This season turned Rhaenyra from the books into Danerys from the series. I will give HBO a standing ovation if Rhaenyra burns all of Kings Landing in the final season
@@agreb25 It's a little annoying too. Like the GoT universe resolves around that moment, cause that's all we know. (Well, what the producers think that's all we know.) Like, the world is going to move on.
@@CrobianI doubt that Dany already do that in final season on GOT even if it is a Century before it Will takes at least two centuries to rebuild king's landing if Rhaenyra destroys everything in the ending
They haven’t even started production for season 3. They’re not going to war until 2026. 😂
in the meantime, another "Game of Thrones" prequel series, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," will air on HBO in 2025. Based on Martin's "Tales of Dunk and Egg," it follows the adventures of a knight named Ser Duncan the Tall and Prince Aegon Targaryen.
@@infinitemase252 I'm not sure I have the capacity to care for this honestly. Especially after how bad the season finale was. Seems like every Game of Thrones series is doomed to fail. It's time for George R. R. Martin to ascent the Iron Throne himself (ie. the lead writer full-time) or else talentless hacks will ruin it.
By then the hbo Harry Potter will be out and I legit will have moved on
@@nrbism9614 while I think this would be sweet, I don't think we'll ever see another GOT book get released again :/
Ww3 is going to start before we see these characters finally fight.
GRRM: ASOIAF have 5 book, maybe 13 season ?
Dumb & Dumber: We skip it, 8 season !
GRRM: Fire & Blood only have 1 book, maybe 4 season ?
HBO: We stretch it, 9 season !
GRRM: Fuck this shit! I will go to Japan and ask Toei Animation to have 1000 episode of ASOIAF, at least they didn't change the source material.
LOL would be fire if studio WIT animate it
Its been confirmed to be 4 seasons and most likely 16 episodes left.
This season felt extremely slow and next seasons will feel rushed
They will probably ask him to finish the books first.
Now that's a genius idea! Not only are anime studios more likely to remain faithful, but used to work with unfinished series. And there can always be an ASOIAF:Brotherhood if George takes too long.
Rhanea running around flailing her arms with literally 0 preparation, no food, no clothing, no water & dragging this poor innocent being into a pointless war where it will most likely die? Way to write an unlikable (and dumb) character with selfish motivations.
Yeah some read the character like "nobody cares about her because she lacks a dragón"
They should make her hothead as Daemon because the twins are suppose to be like that
Except in the book one is hothead the other passive 😂
It made no sense lol. You are HIGHBORN….. act like it and travel with a proper escort party. Also you are looking for a wild dragon by yourself? Isnt that stupid dangerous lol 😆
Idk why she's so bloodthirsty for battle. Her and Rhaenyra's son seem to be the only ones bent out of shape for a dragon proving their lineage. Her role was to protect the future of dragons and the next in line, but i guess that wasn't grand enough for her
Next season watch her become a ulf 2.0 an inexperience person in a dragon going somewhere she has no business Being
‘But it’s not LikE THe cLiFf NotEs I read.
Dragging it out is a bad idea because you can lose the fans and get the show cancelled.
If you fill it with interesting content you will have a winner. Not 6 episodes of daemon, your most volatile character, hallucinating and crying…wtf?
Not really, The Acolyte proved that you don't need the show to be quality as long as you can launder money through it
Was a "fine" episode if it was episode 5 or something but as a season finale it was a gigantic failure.
True
TO BE FAIR, most seasons finales of Game of Thrones IN THE PAST weren’t actually that climactic, either.
Generally, the second-to-last episode of each season was where some WILD BATTLE (or something) goes down while the finale always just kinda served as a “denouement” or an epilogue exploring the events that happened in the aftermath of that (while also planting “narrative seeds” for the season to come).
@@jaythomas468 Don't care at all that it didn't have action personally but I wasn't satisfied.
A good finale in my eyes makes you satisfied but also excited for the next season.
I'm still here for S3 100% but I'm currently only frustrated that I have to wait for 2 years for the war to begin... Again.
I agree this should have been like eps 6 or 7 not eight eight you end with the start of the battle and have shocking moment at the end having someone die like last season at the end a shocking death
I wouldn't even call it fine standing on it's own merit, the weird 10 second jumps to Rhaena running around, Daemon's development felt artificial, Tyland's arc was boring and out of left field, the Alicent and Rhaenyra meeting AGAIN was atrocious, these people should not be friends by this point, they hype Daeron up and don't even reveal him, they think flashing Dany and White Walker visions is enough to for us to scream 10/10, like they're doing freaking Marvel cameos. My god this was just an atrocious episode all around.
First season : war is coming
Second season : war is still coming…… but don’t worry when it comes it’s going to be HUUUUUUGEEEE
Season 5: war is still coming... when we get a bigger budget
If it follows GOT recipe - war is resolved in one episode then back to people brooding in castles.
Even worse is that second season is: Winter is coming
Should have not been unexpected, remember GOT S1 when they spent the whole season talking about “the war in the north” and then proceeded to show absolutely nothing about “the war in the north”
"some say maybe even the greatest war ever" 👆🏻😗👆🏻
Daemon having the same arc bending the knee TWICE is infuriating. One or two eps tops for him to trip out with Alys and Helaena before securing the rivermen would've been more than enough.
Would've loved if Daemon changed his mind to serve Rhanerya was solely from the visions and conversations he had with his brother instead of a cheap vision about the future that reminded everyone about the ending of GoT. Loved the scene between Corlys and his son too, Alan or whatever his name was powerful scene.
Can someone please make a meme edit of Daemond's vision, and instead of seeing Rhaenyra, have Bran doing his smirk back in season 8 of GOT?
😂😂
That Lannister fighting the lady in the mud felt like something from a bad 90s show like Hercules or Xena.
“Lady”

Thank you Joe for calling out George… I am SO SICK and TIRED of everyone on YT making excuses for him and chastising people for expecting some iota of progress 12 years past it’s original due date. I don’t want to see anything until we get winds of winter and we aren’t ever going to get it. George has been supported, praised, made rich and on and on and he has so little respect for the fans who have never wavered. I wish more people would have some balls and call it what it is. His fault.
I feel like a lot of fans are resigned that they'll never get the final two books. Especially knowing that George is working on the more shows for HBO.
TRUE. GoT should have stopped immediately and never finished until the book was done. IDGAF. This material was allowed to be ruined, George's Fault.
Couldn’t agree more. I’m reading the series for the first time and I’m in feast and to know fans had to wait 11 years between storm and dance and now it’s been another 13 and he’s talking about doing another fire and blood book. No! You can’t just draw people in like this and then refuse to finish the story.
It really is a slap in the face to people who care about his work.
@@latishabuckner8231oh no. We are NEVER getting the end of ASOIF.
At his age, with his lack of dedication to finishing it, it will never ever happen.
We will just have to have AI finish the series. It’s sad.
Hopefully George RR Martin actually does stop focusing on writing for this show and starts focusing on FINISHING THE FUCKING WINDS OF WINTER
I read the entire ASAIOFACAERa series almost a decade ago now. I am not excited for the next book. I actually hope garm has a co-writer.
The first two books in that series are incredible, but he had like 7 different consultants. Now it is clear he hates his own writing, and it is more fun cashing in on spin-offs.
It made me so upset. 2 damn finales that say “just wait!!! The big fight is coming!!”
That's par for GoT.
Yea GOT basically did that for 7 seasons. I think yall must’ve forgot
@@incognito9292 true but so does this show, I think yall are forgetting the amount of setup GOT had, especially in season 2 and especially in the finale of the at season.
@@BGreen112thing is Season 2 led up to and had the HUGE Battle of Blackwater bay where huge armies clashed and had major repercussions for the rest of the story, the Rook Battle is major yes, but they could’ve also fit the Battle of the Gullet in this season if they had more episodes and less filler, imagine seeing Krakens in live action for the first time? Would’ve been sick!
I eye roll whenever people say GOT had plenty of build up ending seasons too. Yeah it did, but it also had much more going on. This show feels like Dani’s plot line. Each season she gets closer to what we wanna see, but hers was only ONE story arc of multiple others that also had different levels of pay off and build up with varying levels of interest.
HOTD is boring because it following different characters, many are directly tied to team black and green. Each of their goals are there to support one or the other.
So yes, this feeling slow and boring, hits harder than ONE of GOT’s plot lines being boring. Ironically I’d say it was Dani’s that largely held that title throughout that shows run.
My question is why do they have to change stuff from the book if the source material is already there?
Because "We can do it better"
Because the source material is more like a history book not a dramatic story, so you have to fill in the blanks...
@@tincanstantheman ok so fill in the blanks without changing the material? How is that so hard if you are a professional?
budget, availability and/or additional actors, creative differences otherwise just read the book.

It's called an adaptation for a reason, you want a 1 to 1 go read the book and imagine it in your mind.
You want a TV series or if it, then you have to accept that some things don't work on TV that would work in a book.
If you don't like that, you can join a club for people like that, their called critics and its a big club cause everyone isin it.
If you don't like the TV show, great I can understand, yet to complain that it's not like the source material as if the source material would make for great television as is, is delusional
Too many people on set thinking that they could do it better than the source material
Exactly
It's like that with everything even video games. Its the we can do better mentality. The arrogance is frustrating
Hollywood 101
You'd think they'd get the lesson by now, decades of them snubbing video-game writers and believing their writing lesser somehow only to be rewarded with fan backlash and low sales. These folk are pretty dumb it seems. For every Fallout or Silent Hill there's a hundred 'we know better' failures.
Source Material isn't exactly all that great, with so many conflicting accounts on what happened during the Dance of Dragons. I'm not sure people would be that interested in House of the Dragon, Rashomon style.
This season of HOTD is why I say tv sucks now. We had to wait 2 years for season 2 in which they only give us 8 episodes. 8! Which presumably you’d think they shortened the season and took so long to make it because they planned to use the budget in a big way and to make higher quality episodes. Can someone tell me what that 2 years and shortened season supposedly got us? What one battle and the episode where the dragon ate some people? Tv sucks now. We used to get 20+ episodes season and they wouldn’t even take a year to start putting out new episodes. I think they need to rethink this new format of tv cuz it sucks
So true. So if season 3 is good (I won’t care because I’m done watching) it took four freaking years to get there?!?! And the track record this universe has at this points indicates the books will not be finished and the show will continue to slide down in quality.
It’s kind of depressing to think about how much time they want you to invest story that might not even go anywhere satisfying.
No. I’m out. I’m not giving these stories my time anymore
I legit think that they did not change any of the episodes after the budget cut. This is such a “8th episode of a 10 episode season” episode. Like they literally just took the 2 episodes HBO made them cut and moved it to season 3.
They weren't able to replace Paddy from s1, he carried the show
I think Daemon could have carried it but his arc just became so tiresome. Do they essentially lost both characters to an extent.

Not the case. This was never meant to be the finale. Their budget was cut. After they were done with the writing. They were forced down to 8 episodes after they finished writing for 10. Hence they had to rewrite during the writers strike.
Rhaenyra and Masaryias kiss. Do yall remember what Shae told Tyrion about his wife when he told Shae the story about his wife's almost rape? No woman who was just raped or almost raped will invite a man in her bed 20 minutes later. Basically this is what happened with Masarya. Why the fuck did they keep that scene in???
Warner Bros already forced HBO to only have 8 episodes season for the next two seasons also. Duncan eggs series will only be 6 smh.
Dunk and Egg 6 episodes is perfect. Each season will cover one of the novellas and they are quite small. So 6 episodes is absolutely the max
To be fair, the Dunk & Egg novella is very short. It's a lot shorter than any of main series books. Making that one only 6 episodes is kind of perfect, because any longer would require adding a bunch of filler.
Well, the Dunk and Egg novellas are pretty short, so 6 episodes per season is fine. There are also three novellas, so makes sense for three seasons.

Deterrence for using dragons for war. We’ve seen that if the dragons fight, everything burns. However, Aemond going mad, is unforseen, that he’d just run and raid her allies while keeping Vhagar away from dragon danger until he’s made his desolation. So The Queen is going to go after their arms before they can move move in Kings Landing, where the throne is, and the people of the realm she wants to rule and protect. Not just destroy everything underfoot and rule rubble.
Rhaenerya being so hesitant to take what is hers in fire and blood is reallu annoying especially after they ended season 1 with her looking ready to burn down all of king's landing lol
Like this whole season is her trying to avoid war at all costs and it just drags on and on. How many times can her and Alicent have the same "it doesn't have to be this way. Actually it does" conversation?
You made a great point! The motto is FIRE and BLOOD. I guess Rhaenrya just forgot her house's words.

How can people say there’s no comedy in this show when we have the Rhaena scenes? 😂
I burst out laughing every time they cut back to a Targaryen princess - effectively if not De Jure - being allowed to wander the wilderness and not once did she meet an Arryn guard, a shepherd or a Vale tribesman.
All they had to do was show a scene where one of the guards goes to her tent and it’s empty, him panicking because he can’t find her, then cut to her in the wilderness.
That at least would be somewhat excusable but still not by much because she’s putting everyone in the Vale at risk with her stupidity because if she dies, Rhaenyra is within her rights to nuke the Eyrie for not protecting her. This was just such a dumb, reckless, needless action because they could have just given us Nettles and that would be fine.
How is this subplot not the purest comedy gold you’ve ever seen in your life? 🤣
Not to mention she ran off literally seconds after the convoy left the Eyrie in broad daylight. Like you said, there are so many easy ways they could have written her disappearing. It's almost impressive how lazy they were there

Thank you guys for calling out the bullshit & not being afraid to call the writers out about being terrified to write any woman on this show (especially Rhaenerya & Ms. 180 herself Alicent) seem even a little morally grey. Rhaenerya was a terrible person in the books & she was completely okay with “a son for a son”/Blood & Cheese in the books. But the writers butterly ucked this show into the ground. Why the hell did they remove Nettles? She is a major character in the plot, she becomes Daemons lover/ward and an important dragon rider. Replacing her role with Rhaena doesn't make sense either as she ends up getting a dragon of her own eventually. Unnecessary plot changes that don't enhance the plot are a bane on book to screen adaptations!
That didn't happen show is canon book is not GRRM cant write, Daemon is a beta simp for Rhaenyra

Such a damn let down, should have been 2 more episodes
Number of episodes wasn't the issue. It was the fact that they drew the story out by adding their own plot lines and changing things unnecessarily.
Easily could have done this in 4 episodes, and had 4 to spare for dragon battles and back and forth tactics extra.
HBO cut 2 episodes out & was filmed during the writers strike
HBO has new leadership. They are pushing for 8 episode seasons to reduce costs so their profits go up.
@John_Locke_108 hate to hurt your safe space but it was Warner Discovery shortening the season to only 8 episodes due to budgeting
This episode felt like an episode 8 of 10, not 8 of 8. As an 8 of 10, it's a FANTASTIC building block episode. A lot of lore, interesting conversations, we saw political maneuvering, we got the chess pieces moved around the board and into place. It's a fantastic character episode...... but not a season finale with a 2 year wait.
I agree, it wasn't nearly as bad as AJ and the guys paint it, and I feel that 5 of 10 is very unfair for the season overall, but it's true that as a season finale this just didn't do. They should have gone with at least 9 episodes and end with the Gullet.
It was meant to be 8 out of 10. But HBO higher ups decided to force them to cut down. AFTER THEY FINISHED WRITING. And right before the writers strike and shooting began. So they were fucked from the start.

Yeah...the season finale was a filler episode. Epic fail...done with this show.
What they ve done to Daemon this season is criminal he has so much story in the books... The Witcher treatment...
From coolest character in S1, who was menacing, decisive and unpredictable to an absolute snooze-fest in S2. Aemond did well to take over that role, somewhat.
Agree. Knowing he believes in destiny. For me. That ruins his character and he won’t be interesting any more. Guessing that’s not in the book?
What the fuck are you on about? Daemon had absolutely no story throughout the timeframe S2 went through. He was stuck in Harrenhall doing nothing in the book. So they expanded that has him go through some needed character development. He developed a lot more as a character than he did in s1

Despite some of the flaws in the writing itself, this would have made for an amazing penultimate episode to the season finale. Ramin Djawadi's music absolutely carries the end of the episode and the amount of hype it would have created for the season finale would have been off the charts. Perfect setup for the armies going into battle and all of the underlying tension built up throughout the season finally reaching it's crescendo. But as a season finale, this falls flat on it's face. It makes everything up to this point feel like a complete waste of time and makes you really wonder what the hell the writers were doing with previous episodes. You could have still made this work incredibly well even with 8 episodes if you just cut out 50% of the filler bullshit they wasted time on. Dammon really took a nose dive as a character and feels like Matt Smith's talent is being completely squandered by poor writing. Absolute shame cause that ending theme is fucking epic. Reminds me of the Night King episode from Game of Thrones. Amazing music. Shit episode.
Look up the episodes Miguel Sapochnik directed in Game of Thrones. They are the absolute BEST Thrones ever did. When they announced he wasn’t part of Season 2, I knew it was going to hurt the show
