I walked all the way there from where I live in Tyseley a few years ago, leaving at 5am and arriving at the airport viewing area of Sheldon Country Park at 6:30am. It was worth the trip.
Love it , have not been there for a while . I am into planes etc i do a bit of RC Flying when the weather is good . Nice dedication to your grandad too he would be proud of you .
Thanks bud I find planes really interesting I think I should film cosford some point that will be good . I know always think of my grandad when I talk about planes or around that subject . We always used to get flight radar up in the afternoon and look at the different planes
Hi mate definitely worth a look sometime to film brilliant place I'll watch yours if do it can't wait to revisit in late summer to film more around there
Thank you I appreciate that , would love to take a opportunity like that as it's hard to get more recognised on TH-cam takes years for new subscribers to join but it's a hard working game but getting there at a slow pace
Nice video. Might go there myself. Just an idea, but maybe you could mention at the end of the videos or in the description how to get to the places you visit- what trains or buses go there or where to park a car.
Brilliant idea I'm gonna start going that - I did mention that to someone else tbh definitely worth a look up there really enjoyed it , I got the 9 to Birmingham then the 17 you can get the train but I've never caught one
@@MidlandsOutdoors I was thinking of getting the train to Marston Green, then walking. You can always look this stuff up, but it's nice to get a hint from the video. So many of the travel routes in our region go through Birmingham that it's always a good reference point- people who don't actually live in Brum still know how to get there, and you can usually get most other places from there.
@@chrisball3778 I might try train next time might be easier bus is ok but I think it takes longer in my opinion I might get train all the way there and just stop off and get the 9 from Birmingham on way home . I'll be returning in summer brilliant place
Thanks mate , shame about the sandwell valley farm I remember that years ago going there . I'll check out that forgemill tho might be cool to see I'll take a look in summer
Great vid Drew, when I went I didn't see a single plane take off or land lol. Some of them landing angles were mental, them pilots are very skilled 😮 I need to go back this summer. I will be going in May to drop my brother & his wife for an early flight, think about 3.30am or somat stupid like that. 😮
I was lucky as its coming end of Easter holidays so alot of people are returning from abroad . Possible chance today will be another one then it will quiet down in the week . If you ever wanna go up with me let me know enjoyed going here
Most runways in the UK face west east Birmingham is unusual in that it’s runway face north south best views from here are when the aircraft land from the south to north
This was a great video, so informative . Going to airport viewing was great to see. Your presentation is really good. When is Part 2 of the Ashwoods area due ? So much to see in the Midlands 👍
