It is super delicious tbh. But the oily kebab and nihari gets really heavy on the stomach or maybe it is just for me 💜

I saw nothing positive there. No women in public because of all the horrible things that happen to them and because they are essentially slaves. And then look at the infrastructure, its sad and I would never ever step foot in a place like that.

One prob with people here every time see a camera thet are like must come in the shot 😂
For those wondering where the women are in the restaurant. A lot of restaurants like this cater to people of all walks of life but mostly labourers therefore they'll have seperate eating areas for families and women on their own so they can be comfortable and since mikey was with men only he'd be seated in a male only section and mostly this is a takeaway thing for families too combined with the timing and most likely the weekday (weekends are insane in these areas) is another reason for non existent women you guys see 🤷🏻♀️
Try learning about the actual culture please instead of the false potrayal given by some media channels
You hit the nail right ON the HEAD. Unfortunately Pakistan is known for not treating women fairly nor with respect. I don't want to get into it, but many issues that are questionable

Women are treated with respect here and won't you agree, good and bad people are everywhere and as for the media 🙄🤦 Because these places are for labourers and the prices are much cheaper a father even if poor would rather give more money to their daughter to spend on a high end Resturant then let her go there and if she wants to go there she can. Or get a takeaway. But these places are not usually close to colleges ,universities or job places so they rather go to places close to them. And when you have international food chains inside the premises of the college building everyday is like eating out. All job places and college universities have cooks who make a certain menu of local lunch food for everyone if they want to they can eat it there is no need to go all the way to a faraway place to eat. And everyone makes these dishes at home to. Like everyone can make all these at home they know how to. And for the people/ family's who do visit for cheaper price there is a proper family section for them there so they can enjoy the experience of a quality family outing.

The food looks great but theres wasnt a single woman on the street or in the foodshops. Apparently not that safe to travel to, if youre female, if regular pakistani women cant walk the streets of karachi

@@lmklinglk I'm from Pakistan it's maybe because a lot of restaurants in Pakistan have a separate family/women area in a restaurant.... because it's also Friday alot of people don't come during lunch time because I've also gone to these places mostly during dinner time rather than lunch time on Friday..

Mike chen is such a cool dude. I really love watching him and his life journey. It makes me wish he would check out places in my area cause i alwayd eant to know how real they are but i live in a small town out side a big town lol.
One thing I noticed compared to Egypt is how few women there are in the streets. In Egypt, you could see them walk freely with or without the burka almost everywhere.

I have watched many yt videos of non-Pakistani food lover visiting the country and eating dishes but mikey here has done the justice for the whole Pakistani cuisine, he has showcased almost every main dish of Pakistani cuisines and on the local level, where local peoples eat, absolutely love ur food travel videos, keep up the good work man, keep sharing FOOD happiness.

You have to Visit Lahore, Peshawar, Gujrawala, faisalabad and all other northern areas. I am also from seattle but my roots are from Pakistan. Also, you need to link up with a better tour guide.
