    Grew up in the same boat on LOTW. The TP 175 is hard to beat for an all around use boat. Love how you made your parents boat look new again.

    Hey Jay, you guys should consider buying a Festool Rotex RO90 sander and/or the RO125. It's a hybrid between a sander and a grinder, but is variable speed, and is amazing at surface prep and could be awesome for removing that carpet adhesive. Im in residential construction and love this tool but I know that they are also big in the automotive industry. Paired with the dust extractor (fancy name for a vacuum), they perform so well. I've had some of their sanders and vacuums for ten years and beat the crap out of them with no issues. You might go through a lot of sandpaper but it's worth the labor savings, and likely offers smoother surface than scraping. Last perk, this brand is really focused on dust control and you would be dealing with much less dust and cleanup.

    Curious when that video was shot. Surely you don’t have snow now? 😮😂

      I was thinking the same thing. But I live around the same area where he was and it's barely even cooled off yet so I'm not sure when it was filmed

    Nice color! Did the same with my 02 185 tournament pro. But I tore the carpet out myself.. not fun. Lol

    So if you have a problem with your boat, and the technician needs to get under the floor or under any panel. How would they be able to remove them if they can’t get to the screws? They would have to remove sea deck.

    Product and installation probably exceeds hull value no? :) This can't be good value for the money on this boat.
    What is the life expectancy on that product? No long term reviews ....

    • @JaySiemens
      @JaySiemens  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Product installation + scan is roughly $50/sq foot. You’re looking at a few grand for new flooring or a new hull for easily 10k (likely more) - Guys have been using this down in saltwater and getting 7+ years of use out of it.

    That looks amazing and I bet it is way more comfortable than the old carpet on bare feet.

    What’s the typical cost to add aqua traction to a boat? For example a 17.5 ft Alumacraft.

    • @gman8271
      @gman8271 ปีที่แล้ว

      I remember seeing the cost of a 20ft multi species rig was around $11,000

    • @JaySiemens
      @JaySiemens  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Roughly $50/sq foot if no carpet removal or prep is needed. Obviously varies depending on complexity of design, numbers of logos, etc.

    Is aquatraction ever going to come down south to scan a few boats? Kenora is so far for us southern Ontario boys to travel.
