Sir what is the difference between 2.6 and example 2.7 we are asked the same thing in both yet we get different answers in both

The edition that I'm following is the 3rd edition in which it's 2.6. it's probably 2.7 in the 4th edition. Let me know if the issue is a different one. Thanks
