Peugeot 308 SW - Which? first drive

Peugeot has previous with estates. In fact, since the 304 of 1969, the marque has never been without a medium-sized estate car in its range.
Launched in 2013, the second-generation 308 hatchback has already won several plaudits -- including European Car of the Year. Now Peugeot has added a more practical estate, or 'SW' (station wagon) version.
The SW is 33cm longer than a regular 308, which increases legroom for rear passengers and boosts luggage volume to a cavernous 660 litres (Peugeot claimed figure, includes 70 litres under boot floor).
There's a choice of engines, including new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol units with CO2 emissions from 109g/km, plus a super-efficient 1.6-litre BlueHDi diesel that emits just 85g/km. Buyers can opt for a manual or automatic gearbox, both with six speeds.
Trim levels start at Access, which includes air conditioning, Bluetooth phone connectivity, cruise control and a DAB radio. Upgrading to Active gets you a 9.7in touchscreen on the dashboard, sat nav, auto headlights, rear parking sensors and 16in alloy wheels.
Higher up the range, Allure versions offer 17in alloys, LED headlights, front parking sensors and a reversing camera. And the range-topping Feline comes with 18in alloys, keyless entry, sports seats, automatic emergency braking and a panoramic sunroof.

I have the 2.0 150bph Allure version. It's quick, drives well, It's comfortable and is well equipped. Unlike some people I love the driving position and the small steering wheel, it just feels right. When I get into other cars now the large steering wheels feel wrong. My last car was a VW Golf SE and in my opinion this Peugot is by far the superior car.

I have a 308 sw HDi Blue 2.0 Auto 180 bhp drives realy well fast enough for me economy is ok
