- After 11 months of hard work we finally get the reward of driving a boat we built from a kit for the first time. Join us for the Maiden Voyage of our Zippkits SLR Missile Thunderboat Hydroplane Rc Boat. More testing and pond time are needed but we have ourselves a working boat and that’s a huge accomplishment for Twisted Liquid Rc Boats. We’ve come a long way from opening the box on this kit and the reward of getting to DRIVE IT is GREAT!!!!! @timothydeview7356 Thanks for watching Twisted Liquid Rc Boats. Appreciate it. This video was about the Maiden Voyage. Luckily a couple friends were there to video it because the camera 🎥 on the boat didn’t record for some reason. I combined video clips from there phones. The inside of the boat is detailed in episodes prior to the maiden voyage in the build series. The rigging episode shows the inside of the boat well. I’ll do a conclusion video soon and show it again. Thanks again, Take care and stay safe.
Its cool it makes a rooster tail like a real hydro. Are those black hoses for engine cooling?
@darylsmioth1904 Thank you 🙏 sir. For your kind words and channel support. The black hoses are for cooling. The rudder has dual water 💦 pickups built in. It feeds 2 hoses into the hull. One hose cools the cylinder head, and the other one cools the exhaust flange. Then out the port side thru 2 outlet fittings. Keep watching. There’s more coming with this boat. I can’t get anyone at zipp kits to respond to me. Are they still selling kits? Is there another kit that you would suggest I look at?
@kayakinfishin I have a suggestion for you. Slycat Racing in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 sells Zippkits Kits. They are a Canadian distributor from what I know. Contact them. Even though it’s not listed on the website they have it. I believe it’s $340 Canadian dollars 💵 which would be less if you convert to American currency. Bob Sylvester is the owner.
