What was your favorite read this month? 💙
My favorite read this month was Darling Girls by Sally Hepworth 💙
Hi I'm a guy but I like cozy mysteries and like your videos 😁 I do listen to a lot of audiobooks but your videos really help me find new books thanks so much 😁
Welcome! 😊 I'm so glad you are finding new books you enjoy!
Wow! 29 books. That’s amazing. I read Fatal Fudge Swirl last month and that was my best book. I have Safe and Sound checked out from my library and am really looking forward for that one.
I couldn't believe it was 29 books when I went to add it up, but I got competitive for the readathon and sick so that worked out. I LOVE Fatal Fudge Swirl - so glad you did too! Hope you enjoy Safe and Sound 💚📚
Glad you got your read so much. Sorry you were sick. Loved the Murder and Mayhem challenge. Looking forward to next year.
I'm looking forward to next year too! Thank you so much Susan 💚
I'm glad you liked Not a Happy Family. I think I gave it three stars. I wasn't crazy about She's Not Sorry either. Thanks for the wrap up.
Not A Happy Family was definitely fun - not an all-time favorite, but entertaining definitely. Thanks for watching! 💚
I loved The Book Thief which I read in May. Absolutely loved it!!!
I haven't read that book yet. It sounds so fun! 😊
Wow! You read a lot of books in May. My favorite read of the month was Locked in Pursuit by Ashley Weaver. Thanks for the reminder about the Lakeside Library series. I was trying to decide what to read next and wanted something summery. I actually live in Wisconsin and we purchased a cabin last fall, so I'm really looking forward to reading this!
That's amazing!!! You could read it at the cabin for extra fun 💙
Yay for the Sleuths!!
Go sleuths!!! 💙
Glad you had so many good choices to read. Daughter Of Mine is on my list and after your review I might need to read it sooner.
Thank you so much! I really hope you love it. I found that one gripping 💙
Wow 29 that's amazing!! My favorite books in May were Darling Girls I love Sally Hepworth books. I read a few cozies that I loved Class Reunion's are Murder a Poppy McAllister mystery also getting back into reading Leslie Meier books.
My favorite of the month was Darling Girls as well!!
Darling Girls is SO good! Glad you enjoyed it 💜
Pride and Premeditation was so cute and fun, I need to continue the series! I DNF’ed All the Missing Girls, could not get into it with the switching timelines. I read Not a Happy Family but I couldn’t tell you a single thing about it now 😂 I really want to read Kill For Me Kill For You and The Younger Wife! My favorite books from May were Funny Story, The Familiar, and The Women 😊
I need to continue the Pride and Premeditation series too! I just picked up book two from my library and I'm so excited 💜 I agree with you on Missing Girls and Not a Happy Family! I really had fun with Not A Happy Family, but it's not the most distinct ending.
@@bookswithamymarie so fun, hope you love book two! Yeah exactly, that’s been the case with a lot of thrillers for me where it’s enjoyable but sometimes it’s forgettable or not as exciting of an ending 😬 gotta find some really good ones to wow me!!
You read a ton! Love that for you! Top reads in May for me were Live & let chai, Just for the summer, Queen of shadows, Darling girls & A mother would know. Sorry, couldn't pick just three. 😆
Thank you Jules! 💜 Live & let Chai is so fun.
I “soft” dnfd Pride and Premeditation, because I was listening to the audiobook and didn’t really get into it but based on what you’ve said, I might just read my print copy and give it another go. Love your videos, always something new to learn!
I really loved it! I hope if you give it another try, you end up enjoying it 💚 Thank you so much Michelle.
Your eyes are so cool. I've watched a few of your videos, but I just noticed while watching this one. ❤
Thank you so much! That's very sweet 😊
In May I read The Fast and the Furrious by Sofie Ryan, Aunty Lee's Delight's by Ovidia Yu, Final Catcall by Sofie Kelly, Egg Drop Dead by Vivien Chien and Aunt Dimity and the Summer King by Nancy Atherton. My favorite was Egg Drop Dead. I love the Noodle Shop Mysteries. I'm reading Ashes to Ashes, Crust to Crust by Mindy Quigley right now. Another cat mystery, they are the best!
The Noodle Shop Mysteries is the best! So glad you had so many wins 💜
I just finished Daughter of Mine. I really enjoyed it.
Me too! What a read. Thanks for watching 💜
29 books in May is mind blowing! Fantastic job! I knew you could do it! 🌷💚🌷 I've got to try out Sniffing Out Murder. Glad to know it's good. My favorite book in the Lakeside Library series is book 3 although I enjoyed all of them so I hope there are more books in this series. Book 2 takes place in winter so it not just a summer cozy and its really done well and really cozy.
The power of being sick for a week gives you a lot of "free" time suddenly 😅 I really hope you enjoy Sniffing Out Murder. I thought it was so fun 💜 ooh! Thanks for the heads-up on the second book. I might save it for fall/winter, then.
Kill For Me Kill For You , All Sinners Bleed by S A Cosby, and I Will Find You by Harlan Coben were by top 3 great reads for May.
I love Kill For Me Kill For You! Glad you had some amazing reads 💜
I recently found a cozy mystery series that I wanted to share with you - in case you see it in your book shopping/library - Her Majesty Investigates by C C Benison, I found 3 books and I think that is all that is in this series. Death at Buckingham Palace, Death at Windsor Castle and Death at Sandringham House. Written in the late 90s so I think it's completed. Haven't started yet, but they looked really good! wanted to share... My favorite for May had to be Pride, Prejudice and Poison by Elizabeth Blake ( book 1 ). have a great week!
I haven't read that! Thank you for the recommendation. I'll look into it 💙 Pride, Prejudice, and Poison sounds fun. Have a fantastic week!!!
I really enjoyed Pride and Premeditation as well. I was so glad that the "Sleuths" won. I also really enjoyed Daph too. I feel like our May wrap up was very similar. LOL. 29 books.. go you!
Thank you! I'm so glad that our team won too 💙 So happy you enjoyed Daph!
I really enjoyed Lakeside Library as well. I kinda want to move there, sans the murder of course. I LOVE Marge.
Same! It sounds so beautiful there. Marge is the greatest 💜 and her dog!
29 books in a month, that’s awesome!! I read a few good books in May. Part of Your World, The Housemaid, Fourth Wing, The Surrogate Mother and The Lost Bookshop. Not sure which one is highest; but, the Housemaid was my least favorite. 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you! I couldn't believe it when I counted them up. I'm so glad you had some hits this month 💜
Gladdy is on my Read the Rainbow challenge this month for blue! I can't wait
👵👵👵
That's amazing! I hope you love it Sonia 💙
Hi, loving your videos, i have been binge watching them. Im from New Zealand. not sure if you have heard of this author or read anything from her, but her name is Ngaio Marsh, she's a NZ author, she's our Agatha Christie in NZ. she was born in 1895 and is a famous crime/mystery writer and has written quite a number of books. Her novels are very similar to Agatha Christie, since you love Agatha Christie thought you might want to give her a try if you haven't read any of her books before. thanks for your videos 🙂
Thank you Matilda! I haven't read anything from her. Do you have a favorite book you'd recommend from her? 💜
@@bookswithamymarie alot of her books are quite good i haven't read thru all of them, some of her good ones, are like The Nursing Home Mystery, Death in Ecstasy, Death in a White Tie, the books do have a central sleuth which is Chief Inspector Alleyn, you don't have to read them in order just like cozy mysteries. Ngaio was dubbed as "Queen of crime" like Agatha and she was made as a Dame. maybe one day you could be keen to give her a try.
You read a lot! Im plowing through the Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne.
Thanks for watching! That sounds fun. Hope you keep enjoying it 💜
Have you read the Hope Callaghan Cruise Ship mysteries? They are really good!
I haven't! I just looked it up - they look so fun. Thank you for the recommendation. I love cruise ship settings. Thank you 💙
You are so welcome. My late husband and I loved cruises, so this was right up my alley. Enjoy!
Somehow i finished 'The Uninvited' i almost DNFd several times. All the characters are unlikeable. There ended up being some ok twists, but ending was cliche. It was also way longer than it needed to be
I'm glad I didn't miss out. Sorry you didn't enjoy it either!
I’m not a fan of Frieda McFadden, I find her writing style very juvenile.
