Point Cartwright Light is an active lighthouse located on Point Cartwright, a point near the mouth of the Mooloolah River, in Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia. It marks the entrance to the North West Channel, a deep water channel into Moreton Bay and the Port of Brisbane, and provides guidance into the Mooloolaba Harbour.
The Point Cartwright Lighthouse is the third light to guide ships into Moreton Bay since 1897. The technology of the light is far removed from the original oil lamp and reflector of last century.
The Point Cartwright Lighthouse is located right next to the Reservoir and this is where the most exceptional views of the surrounding areas can be embraced. The balustrade around the edge of the cliff has memorial plaques remembering lost loved ones
