People really need to ask more specific and thought thru questions without leaving Jonathan to guess. Still think Jonathan did a great Job answering this.

Great content as always Jonathan! I’d love to hear a more detailed video on this “outcome” selling vs. “Things I’m going to do to get the outcome”
I didn’t realise I struggled with that till I watched this video!

Hi Jonathan! It is pleasure watching your videos, I have learned a lot! Thanks!
    But, I have a question:
If you spoke to decision maker/owner prior the project, but down the road you've been assigned a person to work with, who is more into the project technology (e.g. website design), who is not decision maker, has no insight in what you spoke with the owner, but asks for certain things other than what initial plan was, questions your decisions and acts; how to politely and professionally go around that person? Although my expertise is much above his, he wants to lead the project, as he thinks he knows what's best. And, let's spicy the things a bit more, there is no written contract, only verbal agreement on services, so I cannot just say "that is not what we agreed to".

Thanks for asking MV! For any project of non-trivial length, I would insist on a kickoff with the team (including the executive sponsor) to share the objective for the project, and agree to the strategy as a group. Does that help?

@@TheJonathanStarkShow I will try that method on next project for the same client. Will let you know if it helps :)
      Thanks for reply!!

Hi Jonathan , I've been a UX desiigner for 8 motnhs (professional work) now, and before that I was a front-end web developer for 2 years (learning and doing amateur work). Now I'm interested in mixing the two roles to be a UX engineer which a little bit of both which someone who design and code generally. I did give myself the permission to generalize so I can learn more about developing designs and to fill the gap between designers and developers. Ultimately I want to specialize more, so what can I aim in specializing after some time in this role? Should I go for UX design or front-end web development? Can I create a niche with this position? and finally do you think I'm doing a good move with this transition?

Good question Kreativ! Well... you can pursue multiple skill areas while specializing in other ways. So if you do front end and UX, you could specialize in building for a platform: e.g., Shopify apps or Twitch extensions or Apple TV apps or whatever.
