thank you for posting. what is measured ac frequency at coil ? measured, not calculated/predicted. are you measuring 2.7kw at power input, or actual at coil ? by convention in the ih industry, output power ratings are used. measure temp in, temp out, n water flow rate thru induction-heated part inside turn[s] of water-cooled coil. i worked on/with 20 & 30kw 450khz ih generators for 16 yrs. take care - dLLund 😀
Thanks for the nice build demonstration- excellent. I understand that the 2700W is for increasing the number of followers? :-) But the D16? x 20mm up 700 C in 10-11 sec is perfect for the price. Almost 1kW effective into steel is a good result.

@@RJEDITALL ALSO: use several lengths of about 20 gauge wire twisted and soldered at the ends to form LITZ wire, as the high frequency here will see much less resistance and perform significantly better with higher efficiency.

otra sugerencia, aprendé a realizar diagramas eléctricos del circuito en mención, y cambiale el calibre al coil de inducción, tiene que ser como de 3 milímetros, pero el video está magnífico

hi, if using 12vdc then must use a transformer and it is quite a heavy and big capacity transformer, if I make a dc power supply directly taken from the 220vac power outlet (using a bridge diode and a capacitor and supposed to become about 300vdc), what needs to be modified? the size of copper and the numbers of the copper wires turning? and what else? please advise me, thanks.

Would winding the coil using LITZ wire improve the performance of the unit. How about making the winding coil smaller diameter, would that improve the performance ???
@victory first look up the skin effect and then calculate from there your operating frequency and diameter of your conductors. Hint: higher frequency=thinner conductor. If your turns ratio on the transformer needs to stay constant but your conductors are basically underutilized because of skin effect, then you switch to Litz wire

30 volts X 30 amps (your max design suggestions) is 900 watts, not 2700 watts.
