JetBoils work great! I got my then Boy Scout (now Eagle Scout) son a JetBoil that he took on many camping and overnight hiking trips!
good video, keep reviewing other stuff, you are our test boots on the ground. thanks
Will do, if there is anything you want tested in particular let us know we can add it to the testing list
Keep the fuel can warm. The colder it gets the less output you’ll have. Love jetboil!
Truth, if you're going to be in cold weather (think North Dakota winters or high alpine winter) the Jetboil will fail. But, the MSR Whisperlite International is a beast.
The freeze dried food i think the ones with pasta and chicken is the best. No matter how long you cook the ones with beef they still turn out like small cubes of dry sponge
We heard the same
We did try a few of them and everyone we tried so far were great
Breakfast ones and a fajita one alone with chicken and rice
I used to use a Colman version of the burner when I camped out with my motorcycle. They work well. The only problem I had with the Colman one is that it was pretty tall sitting on top of a can of propane. Another option for just boiling water is a little alcohol burning stove. The commercial version I saw was about 2x the size of a can of snuff, I have also seen TH-cam videos on how to make one out of a used soda can.
Good advert Matt, better than the TV crap in the UK.
Best thing iv ever done with my (cheap version of a ) jetboil , is buy a “flip fuel” transfer device means ya can turn 2 half gas canisters into one full one 🙌
The burner is most effective with the jet boil canister as the canister has the heat exchanger optimized with the burner. If you put a conventional pot on the burner it will take a long time and a lot of fuel to boil.
Keep up with the good work love watching you on TH-cam god bless
I carry a jet boil sumo in my backbacking gear. I also keep a couple big canasters in the garage for when we lose power for extended periods. Its a lifesaver.
Yeah I’m gonna get a few of the big ones as well
You’re the best around 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Nice
Definitely gonna be handy out on the mountain trails
Not near as many gas stations around like the big city
I absolutely love my Jetboil.
I grab extra fuel ⛽️ cells any time I see them on sale.
Now, if you want something that is a little bit more substantial, I highly highly recommend the MSR Whisperlite International. Uses white gas, gasoline and some other fuels. I used the Whisperlite as a backcountry guide for years.
We have several full size camp stove options
But this one caught our eye for being small and compact
Good stuff Matt, it is really only 1 serving and for the breakfast one's i add a little less water. Jetboil is a great product. Very handy in an emergency kit.
We going to pick up a second one, and put one in the hunting bag and keep one in the emergency kit
Best recovery TH-cam channel , Matt who ???? 💪🇺🇸
Pro tip: The gas canister fits in the cup for easy storage. I put a sock on it to keep it from rattling around.
For a Jeep it gets it done....I Eradicate Feral Hogs and Coyote and I got a 4x4 on 38's and winch front and rear...Any suggestions too better this set up?...
To better your set up is to understand every aspect of it and being prepared
For a long time we ran 37 inch tires and only a front winch
But having many options in gear for different hook ups and different ways to attach to things among multiplying power with pulleys we still did a lot of jobs and never failed
Knowledge is your best friend
@OffRoadRecoveryLLC ....I got a 4x4 shop that carries all that ....Thank you for replying-I'm always impressed with your recoveries-my 4x4 shop friend Rock crawls in Moab he's got a 200k rig and uses all that-I need knowledge in the pulleys he will sell me it and teach me- I got the gearing and motor that's tweaked out....Thanks 4 your input..
@OffRoadRecoveryLLC ....I spend 2-4hrs every week thermal imagery target practice 250yd + 400yd and cleaning-I just paid 4 the extra ropes and pulleys ,tree straps and some other stuff-and those blocks for the rear tires. .I'm Central Florida I got a coyote hunt Monday night booked I'll start my lessons then..Thanks again...
Great video! Not like my old Sterno days! A curiosity, why are so many of your videos done with the image reversed (letters backwards on products, etc.)?
When I video myself it’s done with my phone and it mirrors the video
On the front facing camera
@@matt.mckinzie Ah, mine has a setting for that to turn it on/off. Thanks for the reply, and I have learned so much watching your videos!
I burned mine up by getting distracted and forgot I was boiling water 🤷🏻♂️
Oops 😬
Oh Cool Commercials ,
We didn’t tell you to go buy one
Simply testing a product we are adding to our kit
The ozark mountains are far more rural then where we were in Florida
So adapting our kits
if you break something on your truck white trying to do a recovery on a customers vehicle, do you add that to your recovery cost?
No, that’s part of doing the job
Videos uploads are too short. Need some longer content
Agreed
!/'/'/'They all look like it tastes like sawdust but are trying to act like it is gaggable. Must be better trail food! Nice little camp stove.
Quite opposite
We expected it to taste like saw dust
But actually was pretty good
Except the beef one in our opinion
Have had one for years great little "stove" beyond just boiling water. Mine came with an attachment so you could use a skillet a pan or water kettle depending on your needs. Also great for power outages. PS be careful with a near full pot of water it will boil over on you quickly, don't ask!! LOL
