    Wow! So effective to embrace my childhood memories of a joyful and free self. I only envisioned my present self in a mirror and realized how out of touch I am with those feelings now. Thank you.

    I've done this meditation many times, but today I decided to wish my harsh inner critic, "Mildred, " all the good wishes. She usually works so hard to keep me stuck in one place and safe. I suppose in order for me to move forward she needs a little permission to let go and be loved and safe "herself". Oddly I did feel that come back to me...she loosed her grip just a bit and received what I was sending to her. I'll keep trying to help her to help me.

    I cried through through the whole thing. It's hard for me to say any of those things to myself my childhood wasn't easy and as adult my life has been difficult. I'm sad for me at 60 it feels like that's just how it is-Hard and lonely.

      I understand Claudia. We can modify the practice to make it a little easier. Instead of wishing those things to your child self, try it to a friend or family member you care about. I hope that helps.

    to do this meditation was difficult because feeling bad both in body and mind I did not find the kind of relief I would have liked to have
