That Helya fight is rage inducing since the holes spawn at random locations if you are unlucky as a ranged character or healer and it spawns under you it is instant death.

Its got tab targeting issues so half the time I'm just standing there doing nothing, the hit box for the holes is bigger than it seems so you get stunned a lot more than you think you should, and as a demon hunter trying to find a good place to meta is a pain in the butt.

Likely because Ele's main strength right now is heavy single target burst and sustained cleave. Neither of these things look great on dungeon damage meters when there are packs of little adds, but they're both extremely important forms of damage. Doing 900k DPS is great and all, but when only a fraction of that is to the boss, the ele's 250k DPS isn't so bad. Of course AoE burst is good because those little guys do need to die, but having a strong single-target damage dealer like an ele is an important role for any group. Don't let damage meters color your opinion of a class.
The elemental shaman is in terrible terrible gear! A friend of ours agreed to play that character which he hadn't worked on so we could have a ranged dps point of view :)
How you move your character and enemy health bar near your action bars? I have wanted to do this for a while but any addon i found didnt work or was outdated.
You don't need any addon. Just right click on your portrait and select the option which allows you to unlock it, move it wherever you want and then lock it back. Same target's and focus frames
I'm having trouble avoiding the breaths as a healer in higher Mythic+. I can't look up (to see the direction) and down (to see the holes) at the same time and I already need my mouse for clicking the raid frames, so I can't look around constantly. Sometimes I can't even tell which side she'll cast it on by looking at her. I'm already using the camera max distance macro, but still can't see her head and the holes in the floor at the same time. I already ruined other peoples' keys, because I died and I felt so bad for it. Is there a trick to avoiding the breaths?
I healed this without dispelling the debuff, I found that rejuv was enough to heal through it as it deals like 150k to all players when dispelled doesnt it? And since theres already heavy damage coming in from others sources I found it better to try and contain it where I could. Maybe this wouldnt work with a healer of a class without good hots :L
I do the same thing on my Disc Priest, I just let it tick - my dots from SW:P are more than enough to out-heal it and 1/2 the time the dot gets reapplied to someone else instantly anyway.
If it's Vrykul, Js are Ys. I wish Blizzard didn't confuse things by being inconsistent with the pronunciations (valarjar/helarjar should be valaryar/helaryar as well).

wow, this is the first expansion i am doing any kind of serious pve... kinda feel forced too, as its so hard to get high gear just from pvp. There's a lot to take in and remember

or.. if u use MoveAnything addon you can move them along with anything on your screen and have the same setup for all ur alts

Just had this exact issue. It's one of the harder bosses to heal because of it. The holes randomly spawning don't help at all.
I am pretty sure the first boss is pronounced like Imiron. Basically Ulduar's Mimiron without the first syllable.

pretty sure the damage still comes after the duration has ended. As does the green pool left behind.

The breath in the second phase is an absolute nightmare and it's poor game design-wise. It's a quick, badly telegraphed cast that almost oneshots.
I agree, its a bad design, including you have to dodge the holes on the ground, and the the breath is so wide. you'll be out of it and STILL get hit.
It also drops my fps so much
