    i believe your 2nd rapid "not sure"...is Tiger Wash rapid, which has some narley whirpools which would suck for swimmers

    there is simply no other way to run the grand canyon than in a mackenzie/briggs dory. R.I.P. Martin

      BT, that is a very good question. I have been meaning to drag it down to the local weigh station every since I built it! My guess is between 600 to 700 lbs. She rows like a dream loaded to the gills or light.

      Outdoor Ventures River Training . Thanks for the information. I’m just completing my boat. It’s a Spira Yukon. I have put a back deck and front deck storage compartments as well as a floor so it’s a hybrid drift boat. Can’t wait to get it on the water.
