I get a little emotional watching this, because this was the last time we will ever see her on the balcony. She was so frail, bless her but she dedicated her entire life to her calling, she never gave up and died on the throne. She looked quite emotional herself hearing that massive crowed sing God Save The Queen. I imagine what it must have been like for her, after dedicating your entire life to being the queen, and then hearing the crowd sing that. Knowing that they still appreciated you and what you have done for your country. I’m ashamed to say that I took her for granted, probably because I always assumed that she would be around forever, but we will never be delighted with her presence again. God bless the Queen.

You and me both! So bittersweet to watch this again, but by God, what a grand finale to her amazing life! I can only imagine what she felt, standing on that balcony one last time, hearing the chant of God Save the Queen, seeing all these beautiful people wave and smile. Mutual, unconditional love!

You’re also born into it, they don’t choose to be born into royalty! You have to respect the dedication to duty and service she has given to her people, which she has done flawlessly. The Queen has always said she would’ve been happy as an ordinary country woman breeding/raising horses. But she didn’t have a choice after her uncle abdicated..

In the weeks since The Queen's passing, I keep coming back to this clip. It's such a poignant moment, 95 years after first appearing on the balcony with her grandparents and parents. When I watched it live on that Sunday afternoon in June, there was a part of me that felt we wouldn't see her on the balcony again. It all felt like a final goodbye, and thank you to everyone. I felt very emotional afterwards, but it was wonderful that Her Majesty, and all of us, got to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee when we did. What an incredible person, and a life well and truly lived.

Like you I felt the same way. Not least because I couldn't ever remember having seen the Heralds go out onto the forecourt of the Palace and trumpet for the National Anthem. I think we did sense - all of us - that it was a goodbye. The Queen managed to look jaunty but later we knew that she had avoided using her wheelchair - which she was having to use at that point most of the time - because she didn't want the nation to see her in an invalid state. She was the very model of stoic courage to the very last. What a Queen - what a woman!

At least the Queen knew how much loved and respected she was in her last public appearance on the Palace Balcony, 3 months before she died. Of course the Platinum Jubilee turned out to be what was in effect her farewell party after 70 years of faultless service and duty, and what a splendid and magnificent event it was. We can all be thankful the Queen lived long enough to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, and that was no less than what she deserved. This was literally a unique occasion - it had never happened before and most likely never will again, certainly not for a very, very long time indeed. May she Rest In Peace with her beloved husband Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, their duty and service to the country done.

I lived in London when the diamond jubilee happened. It was the same year as the olympics and the city had such a wonderful atmosphere. Now I live in Finland and I watched this on the TV. It made me so sad to see the Queen look so frail. It was the polar opposite to the 2012 celebrations. It was like a bit of my own history slipping away. It’s hard to describe

I was just as ill as the Queen was and I was only 20 when I had this sudden illness. Everyone in wales completely lost it when Woody.EXE made his first public appearance since I was unwell and I was watching the reactions live from my hospital bed and then I got the unexpected news of me coming home. I came home another way with Mummy, Princess of Wales and my 2009 Woody had been with me since I was taken ill so all 3 of us came home together as my sister, also the princess of Wales joined Woody.EXE waiting for the 3 of us to arrive home from hospital and all 5 of us were reunited in time for God save the Queen. I was crying my eyes out when the crowd started singing it; after the anthem, I remember my 2009 Woody saying “you look so much better than you did in January” I hugged him behind closed doors in Woody.EXE’s palace and we all stayed the night there before returning home. I can remember February 22nd 2023 being the happiest days of Woody.EXE’s reign and it still continues to be a darn good reign for him in 2024

Makes you wonder if she knew this would be the last time she'd be on the balcony, seeing the people she has most dutifully served, with a heartwarming rendition of the anthem.

Deep down we all knew that she made the effort to appear on the balcony because she was saying goodbye to her people. There had been persistent rumours that her health was in decline over a number of months. How brave and steadfast she was to take her leave of us with a smile on her face and with love for us all in her heart

greatest respect to someone who has devoted and dedicated her entire life to the people of UK. Despite battling with a painful bone marrow cancer, she still gathered the strength to attend this event, which brings tears to my eyes. Being the Queen is no easy life, be not fooled by the appearances of luxury and riches.

You forever faithful in peace time or war. You probably will continue to do this good work till you can no it no longer. Happy Happy Jubilee. Enjoy your glass of champagne tonight.
