- This is a look back on Clifford Robinson's career. Clifford Robinson will be remembered as a versatile big standing at 6’10 playing small forward, power forward, and center. Having a soft touch for a big man that extended to the three-point line. But offense wasn’t the only part of his game as he excelled on defense with his athleticism with the ability to guard one though five. While also being durable throughout hardly missing time with injury having a long-lasting career after spending all four years in college. Where he starred at UCONN being the first guy to help build the program under Calhoun. Before moving onto the NBA joining the Blazers. Playing the 6th man on two Portland teams that made it to the NBA finals. Winning the 6th man of the year one year for his play. Before moving into the starting position picking up an all-star appearance becoming the main guy. Then found himself in phoenix being the go-to guy for a while. Going onto finally be recognized for his defense making all-defensive teams with Phoenix and Detroit. Bouncing around several places all the while making the playoffs wherever he went being a part of winning basketball. Helping him carve out his long career. Which will be looked back on as being a big who played ahead of his time.

RIP Clifford Robinson. One of the best NBA sixth mens.
RIP Uncle Cliff One Of My Favorite All Time Players
Main headband of the 90s.
His headband was iconic
Uncle Cliffy's defense was terrific. Now it's Uncle Jeff Green who is in a similar role.
Uncle Cliffy is greatly missed.
Man, Uncle Cliffy was one of my faves in the early 90's! Good player and better person. He always responded to his fans on twitter. RIP to the OG stretch 4!
How about one On Kevin Duckworth?
You can’t tell me that that isn’t Kevin Durant’s dad.
Truth! these folks don't know. I made a similar point before I saw yours. Just like Detlef was Nowitzki who wasn't given enough chances to LEAD lead. So much talent from the 80s and 90s
You are good. So far, they are unsung heroes of the past.
I would like to see Jeff Hornacek, Thunder Dan Majerle and/or Derek Anderson.
Cliff was impactful as a rookie. In his first playoffs he was guarding The Admiral David Robinson and they beat the Spurs. I don't think Portland wins that series without him.
I'd love to see one on Eddie Jones and Alan Houston.
I love the days where there were unique players with unique skill sets
Very happy with this video. Uncle Cliffy was a favorite of mine. Great player and great person. May he RIP.
Gratitude
Peace to Uncle Cliff.
Long live uncle cliffy
Right after the Pistons won the title, Larry Brown gave propr to Uncle Cliffy among the players who helped build that Goin to Work culture, and weren't there to bask in championship glory. That's how much he meant to that group.
Great work as always Skip
Please do Rip Hamilton.
Good video man!
He was a bad man ! He was early model KD-ish...
I truly believe this is Kevin Durants dad
Crazy how in a tougher era a player of his significance was able to be an iron man health wise yet he was suspended more than once for of all things Marijuana use. At crucial times during playoff runs.... Smh. Now da league weak and they reward players by allowing them to chief w/o worry. Commissioner Stern hurt the league more than he helped it back in the day. Clifford Robinson was one of the most talented 2 way players and a matchup nightmare for defenders da way a close to 7 footer could stretch da court.
"underwhelming" 😂
