Brian Linehan, who passed away in 2004, left his entire estate to The Brian Linehan Charitable Foundation to provide training, work opportunities and promotion for young actors of exceptional talent. All of the income of his Foundation is donated to not-for-profit institutions for that purpose. In the decade since his death, recipients of the Foundation’s support have included extraordinary young actors affiliated with the Canadian Film Centre, The National Screen Institute of Canada, the Stratford Shakespearean Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, which, since Brian's passing, has preserved and housed Brian's personal archive and tape library.
Fun fact: the screenwriter of Mars Attacks! Jonathan Gems did a book of interviews sharing his adventures with Tim Burton in MARS ATTACKS MEMOIRS Enjoy the ride ✌️😁
It's great that there's a movie where aliens invade Earth for no particular reason. The fact that movie is Mars Attacks! makes me even happier.
I’m getting this dude’s haircut when my hair grows back
Strange guy, a genius though!! It's okay to be weird and different. You are unique
Yeah, by this time, he looked/acted like the alien-commander from plan 9 from outer space. Strange is good though. Magnificent interviewer. God bless Brian Linehan. So glad he interviewed Tim.
I don't find him strange at all... seems extremely normal to me, big fan of sci-fi/horror/comedy, with his nerdy laugh. Marylin Manson is strange. Tim Burton grew up loving Batman, cheap sci-fi movies, Alice in Wonderland, Planet of the Apes, Addams Family, etc as a kid.. All things I also grew up loving... I don't consider myself "strange, or weird". He's a nerd. He's not covered in demon tattoos head to toe, talking like a vampire, saying his films are spiritual portals into the true reality, while drinking blood out of a human skull. He literally tries to elevate things people considered stupid/corny, that he grew up loving, and make it cool, or bigger, or more grandiose.. and he succeeded in that endeavor. He loves romantic, funny, dark stories, with an ugly, dark gothic aesthetics, with lots of black/whites, with extreme colors that pop, his art style is beyond unique, and gorgeous.. but under all that is extremely palpable, normal human emotions, and realistic, relatable stories.
Mars Attacks is classic top teir Tim Burton i just got back from a 35mm re release screening of it and it was amazing such a blast seeing it in theatres especially in 35mm really gives it the 1950s feel style to it given the movie parodies those alien movies of that time in a way given he loves b movies from those eras this movie was to perfect for him not to make so hilarious all star cast and never gets old
For quite a spell I thought Tim Burton was a bit too outré for my tastes. Ed Wood changed all that and Mars Attacks had me in stitches. I mean that flick cracked me UP!
Tim laughs a lot
It looks like a nervous laugh.
Tim is so cool
Is it me or Tim has small hands? Is adorable hahaha xD
Him and Nic Cage have a bit of a similarity facially.
I see it they look alike
Looks more like Adam Sandler imo, but I see it.
I don't see that, but could be.@@randomrecipes5007
