Patriotic Floral Card! Happy 4th of July!

- Today, we had special 4th of July Crafternoon Live! I created a whimsical patriotic card using red, white and blue along with some stars for the background! I used the Wishful Flowers stamps, stencils and dies from the brand new kit called The Good Life. We want to wish all of our USA friends a Happy 4th of July and we want to send a huge thank you to everyone who joined us today!

I totally agree with you. Fireworks in the neighborhood aren’t necessary. Some people don’t realize the extreme fear it causes our pets.

Way too many sad things going on in my life. A stampbatical sounds like just what the doctor ordered. I was happily surprised when I found out that you guys were doing a live today. I couldn't watch it then, but it's been a marvelous end to my day. Thank you and all the best to you and your family. Congrats on the growth of your business. I have bought goodies from when you first went on line. I worked and taught at a stamp store (and later a combination stamp and scrapbooking store) for 23 years until our owner decided to retire. I have truly enjoyed the Hero birthday celebration TH-cams. I LOVED the pictures of you and Tom over the years and your discussion brought back so many memories!

Yes, I did split flowers in yellow and blue back in June, although I did it for midsummer rather than for the Swedish national day, but they are both in June and we celebrate more on midsummer than on June 6th… It’s a fun idea to have two coloured flowers 🌹💙

10:22 For those dogs who don’t like fireworks, you might try a thundershirt, a very snug-fitting shirt that helps a lot, for many dogs. And the Bach brand Rescue Remedy, or FES brand 5-flower remedy are good for all species (cat whose tail got stepped on, kid with a bruised knee, bird who flew into the window, and humans, who just got cut off in traffic 😉. The human dropper-style bottle is good for all situations and can be petted on, does not need to be by mouth. Unfortunately the animal rescue remedy is sticky, so can’t be petted on, has to be by mouth. These have helped my family and clients a lot, recommended by my vet.
Great card! There needs to be a way to manufacture the pearls so there are only the small ones, much like the mini disco ball sequins 🙂
I had a thought - you could do the star background in white embossing powder, and then blend a very light blue background around them.

I agree that fireworks in neighborhoods are disturbing to pets and some of our troops with PTSD😢

They went from about 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM last night in my neighborhood. My poor little dog hardly slept at all.

There are also people who have suffered trauma who are disturbed by the noise of fireworks. Babies, solders with post traumatic stress disorder and people who have been exposed to gun violence. And sadly there is way too much of that. Just saying that I agree 😂

I will forever be traumatized by memories by what people did that terrified my dog by those illegal fireworks they think are so fun. We literally had to go to a hotel as far away from our home to keep my poor dog safe and calm enough so he didn't have a heart attack. And he did have congestive heart disease. 250.00 every fourth! You pay more for a pet btw. People can be so cruel! Sorry had to vent when you mentioned your dog. My heart still grieving 4 years after losing him. Never love July 4th! BUT I do love your card! Now that brought me joy. Thank you. ❤🤍💙 also I usually listen to you or my audio bible. Have a great evening.

I wish the stencils were easier to use. Absolutely love them but sometimes, even like with you, trying to find the stencil for which flower. Maybe a number system on the stencil...so you can coordinate what stencil goes with flower one, or leaf number 3.

Hello Gina and Tom. I Love love this card…I listen to audiobooks. Currently listening to “Chaos” by Tom O’Neill. He was a journalist who was assigned to do more investigating on the Charles Manson murders, 20 years after the murders and trial. So much new and unreported evidence from Hollywood celebrities to LAPD coverup to even the CIA. It is so good! Not finished yet but it is very interesting! ❤️🤍💙
