Just found me a 67 Cub Lo-Boy! She has been parked in a building for about 10 years, so it has not weathered. It has been used in it long life, so it will need some work and TLC. Would love to find me a sickle bar mower for it. Thanks for sharing your video, will be of great help if I find me one! Take care!
Mikeal Johnson I used the same mower on my Fast Hitch Cub for several years. The original bracket works fine, you just need longer bolts. There isn't enough misalignment of the belt pulleys to even worry about.
Unfortunately, I only have the one tapered bolt, and frankly, I've been using the flat head bolts with this mower on the other tractor for years with no signs of wear whatsoever. The big flat washer spreads the clamping force over a wide area, and I check them often while mowing.
I was wondering how you install the mower on a cub with a fast hitch? I have a 48 farmall cub with the fast hitch and I just got a mower for it but it looks like I need a different bracket for where it bolts to the final drive
Dude, PLEASE remount the brackets to the tractor (front and rear) with bolts that have tapered heads. Standard flat head bolts will ruin your mounting brackets from vibration. Look at the bracket mounting holes and you will see that they are tapered to match the tapered bolt heads. Change them NOW. Use the bolt you show at 9 minutes!! Nice video otherwise. Nice tractor. Thanks.
Thanks, I have a 1972 cub and just got it, was my Dad's Now I am trying to get all the implements working, Thanks again

My grandparents have a cub like that and that mower, we use regular bolts and have since the 70's so it's no big deal.
You must be my twin brother !!
"Parts run" umm oh "parts run". And again. Lol love it!
nice, I have a 1949 Cub with this same type of sickle mower on it
We just got a cub and it came with a mower. Everything is disassembled and I'm hoping this will help me get things together. Thank you.

You can modify the bracket you have. Of course my comment is 8 years too late. Surely you found a solution by now. Lol
