In the St. Louis, MO area the Butter Bar you have is called “Gooey Butter Cake”. St. Louis staple. Very, very good!!!!

That originates from St Louis Missouri it is a gooey butter cake I think they just changed the name of it for your part of the country but that is definitely a gooey butter cake if you pop them in the microwave for like 15 seconds they are so delicious

Butter bars---aka Oooey Gooey cake---very easy to make. Paula Deen has a great receipe for it. Layer of yellow butter cake mix and 2nd layer cream cheese...of course with other ingredients. Can be make with other cake mixes for different events/celebrations. Try spice cake in the fall, with almond flavoring, a little cinnamon...so many possibilities

That plastic tote is the perfect litter box. Great diving and great haul. Broccoli soup is so wonderful. I hate when bugs have sex on my forehead. ROFL about the butter bar and FD! Hopefully, my Aldi will have some. I will definitely try it. ☺
My husband was sitting here watching your haul with me and when he saw Frugal Daddy's face after tasting those Butter things and his giggle he got right up and headed straight to Aldi to see if ours sold them. And yes they did, he ate two pieces on his way home 😂😂 I took a bite of one but to sweet for me.

He doesn't waste time checking for spoilage, and has that "shopping cart system" outside the dumpster that really helps him organize everything! 👌 I suggest FD be careful to separate "the drippy, sweaty meats" from the Baked Goods in those flimsy plastic containers.
