Just goes to show you how great Alisson Becker is and the amount of examples which can be used to reinforce that when potentially his most epic moment in a LFC shirt was not even mentioned (but to be fair, it was not a feat of goalkeeping). His last minute winner vs. West Brom late into the 20/21 season to help secure CL football (shortly after losing his father) will be a memory I NEVER forget. Absolutely incredible.

Just a thought I've had about Jota lately, he might genuinely be an abslolutely genius footballer. We always say this 'the ball just drops' thing about him but I genuinely think his timing and reading of the game and his ability to get himself into positions to make defenders uncomfortable is really really intelligent. Similiar with his pressing ability. It's like if roberto firmino wasn't an outrageously sexy footballer.
I think he also benefits from replacing a pacey winger/striker that has tired out the defense a little, so his pace etc is more equalized to the defenders, and his brain advantage gets bigger comparated to the more tired ones.
@@diazinth he starts alot of games in the second season. In fact even in his first season he gave Klopp alot of headache whether to start the trio(at that time Bobby fell off abit) or him where he always impact the games from the bench, which led to him starting in his second season.
In hindsight, I think the Konate signing was actually a masterstroke from us. I've actually been one of his biggest critics in that i always love it when he as a good game cos he looks unbelievable for us but there have been a few ocassions since his arrival where he's been a tad scruffy for a goal or smth like that and obviously his injury record is slightly worrying. However, the recruitment team deserve a lot of credit for bringing him in at a great fee, with his age profile and his potential and slowly integrating him into the side to the point where now he looks like a key man for our future
Agree. He’s only missed 4 games this season to an injury early on, played 30 in all comps so far. In a season full of injuries he’s ironically been reliable
Agree. He’s only missed 4 games this season to an injury early on, played 30 in all comps so far. In a season full of injuries he’s ironically been reliable
I basically agree with the list but Naby bottom is harsh. Yes his injuries were frustrating and when he was fit he wasn’t always a star but like some of the others you had higher he still had his moments and contributed to some of our best times. He was the one who got the first goal when we spanked Utd 5-0 at Old Trafford and that alone puts him above guys who barely played or were just awful
Naby being last is a reaction to how he left. Club needed him and he clearly quit on them and on klopp. Was he always overpriced? Yes. But there were times when he was spectacular when he played. A mistake. But not the worst signing ever.
@@otto_jk Yes but Melo Arthur was always just intended as short time patch loan move. Compare that to the fact, that if we had not signed Alisson and Van Dijk in same year as Keita, then Keita would have been Liverpool"s most expensive transfer ever. Let that sink in.

Keita in last position is a real strange one from Paul, the difference in narrative people have chosen between him and Ox are crazy considering they both contributed a similar amount and both were out injured a similar amount. Naby scored some real belters and was also in incredible form on the 21/22 quadruple run for us. MOTM against United at Old Trafford in a 5-0 win. Many have forgotten that it seems. Albeit a disappointing signing in the end but LAST PLACE?! Really unfair compared to other dross on the list.
@@danielcooper3868You can think Ox produced more, that's fine. The idea he produced so much more though, that he is worthy of being ranked 11th whilst Naby is last on the whole list... is a complete joke
Its the hype which is not his fault, and the price tag, again not his fault. Also the fact that he was made of glass, and also because that shot he skied in the ucl final was like the end of all hope. Ox had crazy game defining performances was prolific, an absolute engine. He felt a lot more I’m going to win this game on my own. Is it right that they should rank that far apart? No. But Ox was definitely rhe better player for us.
@@marko9463 Chamberlain's price tag was £35 mil. And he had two good seasons in 6, yet was ranked 11th. Liverpools best 2 seasons of 19/20 and 21/22 was also the 2 seasons Naby played his most football and was a key part of our midfield in both them seasons. Yes he was expensive but nowhere near the worst signing.
He was part of our best midfield under klopp (keita fab Thiago) Saying he’s last place instead of players who have worn the shirt barely 10 times is ridiculous
Szoboszlai on position 21? Did you notice what kind of work he put down to the pitch for months. Almost the only one who was playing and staring in all pl games for long months while sometimes doing two mans jobs because someone was sent off. Of course he got tired and got injured. It was booked this will happen. Klopp knew as well, just couldn't afford to leave him sitting on the bench. Otherwise his numbers are still fucking solid.
@@juckoosaurus Yeah that elbow certainly seemed to make solid contact with Karius's head. I think he would've been given the chance to prove people wrong but made similar mistakes against Tranmere Rovers in next preseason. Karius is jacked now, so either way he will be fine.
The Keita/ Thiago conversation is the football equivalent to flirting vs harassment. Keita had 2 bad games in his Liverpool career. And they were both against Real Madrid. Big stages of course. The frustrating thing was his price tag and injury record. His actual performances in a Liverpool shirt, were amazing. Thinking back to whenever we played City or Chelsea and Klopp put him on Bernardo Silva and Kovacic and he shut them both out.Thiago is the exact same. Same injury record but he doesn’t get the criticism Keita does.
Your mad keita barely break 10+ games a season wild. Thiago had a couple in 20+ And also contributed to the quad title run You wanna compare that to keita???
@@resolute7177 Thiago’s one good season was the quad run. He got injured through out last season and in his first season he was injured for 3 months and a bit unlucky that Fabinho got injured that season but he wasn’t good in his first season. @@resolute7177 Fabinho and Curtis Jones were our best midfielders in Thiago’s first year. In the quad he was arguably the best midfielder. Last year Bajcetic and Curtis Jones were our best midfielders. Keita did get injured a lot but in the quad season he was actually fit and I thought Keita was in our best 11, in that year. Both him and Thiago in the FA Cup games played the best football and most creative football I’ve seen in a Jurgen Klopp midfield. My point is that Thiago gets injured as much as Keita does. But why the hate for one and not the other.
Keita dead last in entire list While Ox is all the way up at 11 makes absolutely no sense... It's so bad that it's borderline a disqualifier altogether lol. If you want them both ranked lower, in the middle or higher, that's fine, but the gap between the two is completely inexcusable. Same position, same age in debut season, same problems with constant injuries. The money was not even that different, given Ox was 40 mil, they were on the same wages and both ended up leaving for free. If you want to bring up Ox's period before the first big injury, when his form was good + couple of big goals vs City, then you could easily do the same for Keita. During the first pandemic return to football, he was arguably Liverpool's best player in that period (An opinion Carragher also stated). He scored big goals in title races away at Newcastle and Soton along with memorable goals Vs Atletico, Palace, Chelsea and away at Old Trafford. He also averaged more appearances per season during his Liverpool tenure than Ox did. It's also not like we had loads of reports about him being a pogba-esque toxic Influence behind the scenes or anything, that impacted the club's performance. I'm fine with him being ranked below Ox, but the fact that one is up there amongst great names whilst the other is below the likes of Arthur Melo and Ben Davies is kinda disgusting tbh in terms of the level of disrespect lol. Davies was brought in out of panic, given 60k a week and literally never kicked a ball
Ox is up there because of English bias. Everybody somehow seem to like Ox and me too but he should be much lower rated on this list. Melo and Ben Davies are totally different. They were almost just brought in to try and sooth fans anger of lack of signings. Melo Arthur was just a loan move short time patch. Ben Davies was only signed for like 1 million pound or so because all of our center backs were out injured. We actually got a profit when we sold him out of the club.
Thank you for putting in the time to actual spell all this out for everybody, cause the perception of both of their times at liverpool are so vastly different in these comments I just don't understand it
Karius was great leading up to the Final. Yes he lost us the final. But people forget he was immense in getting us there. Ontop of that it was proven after the game that the Ramos challenge on him gave him concussion, that happened prior to his mistakes within the game. He played the whole game with concussion.
Tell me one single game where he was good, let alone “immense”. He was horrific from the first minute he played for us until the last. I swear if the lad wasn’t incredibly good-looking, the internet’s opinion of him would be completely different.
I'm sorry what? I've seen this narrative a few times now and I'm completely convinced it's only bc ppl feel bad for karius. he wasn't good let alone great. he was only a small step up from mignolet and for a while he wasn't even that! he got dropped for a few games and mignolet started bc of karius being in poor form. karius was good when he came up in Germany but he never did good at Liverpool. the whole fan base wanted another keeper even before the final happened.
I completely forgot that Bobby was signed under Brendan Rogers, considering how Jurgen transformed him into the complete false 9 or some would say “the most defensive striker in the world”.
Somehow felt that everyone from 10-20 was ranked too high, honestly fair play to Liverpool for being as good as they have been without having too many super impactful signings
Keita is way too overhated imo. Probably because of his last season naturally being what most people think of first. He was not a bad player for us at all, 21/22 (the season we nearly won the quad) was probably his best season and the season after was his worst. Too many injuries but he did have moments. Compared to most of our other signings he's clearly worse but compared to flops at other clubs he's no where near their worst. On a rating from A to F I'd probably put him in C or D
True - but Paul Maych and Redmen TV have always had an agenda against him. I'm glad their sicophantic support and love for Jordan Henderson has worked out so embarrassingly for them in this last year.
a couple years on and the only naby keita memories that i can think of is that shot he stupidly balloons over in the ucl final and the one where he's genuinely confused as to how he's scored. says it all really
Paul and James, well done. James excellent balance to let Paul do his thing. Paul....I know you have notes, but, still, even so you know the players like the back your hand and express it so well. That is we I watch Red Men religiously. My life is better with you in it. Thanks to both of you.
From the top 15, the players I really like are/were Elliott, Thiago, Diaz & Jota Elliott has a very bright future. A diamond, though younger than Grav, is already less in the rough than him. Thiago is absolutely elegant whenever he has time and fitness to play. One of the most exciting players to feast our eyes on but so unfortunate with injuries. Diaz was probably the most exciting January signing (apart from Suarez) who did wonders in his first 6 months at the club where we won several trophies and he was a great piece of the puzzle to help us get over the line. After those first 6 months, he’s been less exciting to watch. Much like Mané, he became less flashy and more efficient in his dribbling but he couldn’t be as prolific in front of goal as Mané. Many things have happened to him until now (season-long injury, dad’s kidnapping, etc.) but hoping everything goes well for him again. Undoubtedly an extremely hardworker but needs to score more as he was signed as an eventual replacement for Mané. Jota is our best finisher, no doubt. A very, very good striker of the ball though is capable of ghosting out of games when he’s being given more responsibility with the ball or not given service. He’s not a talismanic forward, he’s more of a kind of purple-patch forward. Lucky to have him as one of our forward options.
Karius at 32?! He was our number 1 keeper all through that great season where we got to the UCL final, then got concussed and made two mistakes in one game, which essentially ended his career at the top level. He's got a rough deal
Yeah thing that placement is so harsh. He had a really good run to get us to the final. Then concussed and our medical staff fucked that assessment and moment.
I agree with Adam he did he was basically a stand in player between the post during that season, both Karius and mignolet was so average, ok shot stoppers but yeah even discounting those blunders in the finals they both just kept making handling mistakes
Putting Keita as the worst is crazy. Whenever he was fit and playing, he performed relatively well considering that he never had good string of games. Okay his fee and expectations were high but if not for his injuries, he was very good player. Putting him behind the likes of Arthur, Caulker, Kabak, Ben Davies, Grujic etc. no way.
Brilliant take on Karius fro Paul. I’ve only got YNWA mentality whenever he’s mentioned. Overwhelming sadness that evening. I feel like all Liverpool fans should share the negative vibes from that night 😩
I feel like I watched a different Thiago career than everyone else. Obviously the injuries this year and last have been insanely frustrating but in his first season year he was absolutely crucial in champions league qualification and I would argue in the domestic double season he was out most important player. When he was out of the team played dramatically worse. I know the best ability is availability but I still feel he made great contributions to the club despite his injuries.
Ok, I'm quite surprised Minamino was ahead of Endo. For some reason Wataru has not earned the plaudits of all LFC fans however, I'm a massive fan. Knew only a little bit before he arrived but every game he got better and after getting a run of starts he proved to be one of our most valuable players. When considering what we paid and the fact we dodged the bullet that was Caicedo, this signing was a brilliant move.
Paul is so great. Love his channel and on 888sport. Very knowledgable. Really good mix with James too, as they’re both into doing these sort of things properly😊
Adrian is a weird one because yeah people really shit on him nowadays for being the worst player in the liverpool squad but as they said he was so solid during the title winning year but I remember when we lost 3 - 0 against watford that ended the unbeaten run where his confidence was basically smashed and I dont remember him having a good game after that
@@lungalunga1470 mate i couldve played in goal during that win run and we still would've won them. Bloke was shite in that run, almost all of the goals we conceded were his fault and he never won us the super cup, abrahams embarrassing penalty did
We conceded every week... we won games in spite of him not because of him. When Alisson and Gomez came back in we had a ridiculous run where we conceded like 4 in 12. Alisson picks up a knock and he knocks us out of both the CL and the FA cup. He was crap and is crap, good penalty shootout win shouldn't cloud the failures he's had.
@TFFanatics unlike karius Adrian was actually good in that run he was a good shot stoppper he did stop lots of goaks despite conceding poor ones. For that run alone he was good until he single handedly knocked us out of the UCL and FA cup

I'm not sure the rest of the list proves that. Having relatively average players who haven't done that much like Jota and Oxlade Chaimberlain so high surprised me
@@ironheade22 if they were to sell Jota today, they would get double of what they invested on him. Plus, after a slow start Ox was amazing up until his injury.
@TheGreatVivek7 I'm not sure he's even that great though. City got more than double for what they paid for Ferran Torres, I very much doubt he would be near the top 10 Pep signings for City
Don't know why James is so low on Gakpo. He is a winger being played as a 9 due to Nunez not being a real 9 or midfield due to a lack of creativity there or a system Klopp is trying to push in certain games. Gakpo getting consistent time on the left would finally show his talent.
As already stated, time served is a critical factor in establishing this list. It will change as the seasons progress but without doubt it will be difficult for any player under Klopp that's currently there or yet to come to dislodge that top three of Alisson, Van Dijk and Salah. Those three would get into ANY team, any league and in ANY era.
I remember one season, I believe it may have been Rudiger's last season with Chelsea, everyone was talking about him being the second best defender in the league behind VvD. The problem with that is he ranked as the 14th best in the league that season. The player who actually ranked as the second best? Joel Matip. Matip is criminally underrated. The way he carries the ball out from defense and his passing range are very underrated parts of his game.
Paul is great fan to listen to, good to hear him have the space to talk as well! I won't agree with him on VVD but that just differing opinions and he put his across really well
Thought he went a bit over the top on VVD, certainly isn't as good a CB as Messi is an attacker. Because he reached the top level so late, he has to stay there until his late 30s to be considered as good as Paul thinks he is. I'd have him 3rd behind Alisson
I am an arsenal fan, but I really enjoyed this. Superb discussion. If I was a liverpool fan mane would be my favourite player, massively underrated. He is a messi to salahs Ronaldo imo
Nice stuff Paul great points made on pretty much all of the signings. I feel like Ox and Keita few similarities there between them, but yeah otherwise good points made. Gini, Matip, Fab in that core just behind the top 5 key under Klopp. Like the Pippen to Jordan analogy from James on Mane to Salah. Prefer Klay to Steph myself though for Warriors aha just off topic briefly

@@diazinth he starts alot of games in the second season. In fact even in his first season he gave Klopp alot of headache whether to start the trio(at that time Bobby fell off abit) or him where he always impact the games from the bench, which led to him starting in his second season.
He has Firmino's intelligence without the generosity
Jota didn't score a whole calendar year and yet he still scores a goal in every 2.68 games. Good signing indeed!
a calendar year where Mane and Salah still got the job done anyways
Injury played a big part of that year
In hindsight, I think the Konate signing was actually a masterstroke from us.
Loved the podcast, very good list. Only one I’d change is konate as I do think he’s underrated should be a few places higher imo
He had a foot in each of the first 3 goals in the 5-0 victory.
Arthur Melo is clearly worse than Naby. Naby at least had some glimpses of brilliance unlike Melo who was literally out injured the whole time
Naby being last is a reaction to how he left. Club needed him and he clearly quit on them and on klopp. Was he always overpriced? Yes. But there were times when he was spectacular when he played.
A mistake. But not the worst signing ever.
Not harsh at all, not often I really dislike one of our players AT ALL but he made that list
@@otto_jk Yes but Melo Arthur was always just intended as short time patch loan move. Compare that to the fact, that if we had not signed Alisson and Van Dijk in same year as Keita, then Keita would have been Liverpool"s most expensive transfer ever. Let that sink in.
Keita cost a lot of money and was always injured , but when he played was usually decent enough
People hate on him a lot but i will never forget how he destroyed united that one time
I usually don’t watch these but Paul is absolutely amazing
Hahaha! Thanks mate!
Not a Liverpool supporter but Paul was outstanding. He is really knowledgeable. Great guest, James!
You jinxed us with this pod
Been thinking for ages Paul would be the perfect match for a podcast with you James. Just cause he puts thought and effort into his takes like yourself and will sit back and take others opinions. Cracking wee watch.
I think he's busy our fan media is second to none with redmen and TAW leading the way but liverpool fans have always been pioneers nothing new there😊
Liverpool fan or not, you just have to love Paul. Just a sound guy through and through
❤
@@DarthVader-xb8gdthe Redmen TV doesnt do as well as say AFTV because Paul isnt a complete bellend who says controversial things for clicks or is completely over reactive and over emotional when his team lose.
This is one of those great memory lane, "Oh yeah, he was there for a bit..." videos.
Like, did Caulker actually play for Liverpool or was that a fever dream I had?
I still watch highlights of that Norwich game once or twice a month. And that final Lallana goal actually involves Caulker lol
honestly he is only player listed that i dont even remember lol
He played as striker for us at one stage lol.
United fan here. Quality content this James, you occupy a space where either no one else does it or you just do it better. I’ve got time for Paul he’s a fan you want to chat to. Lovely stuff
I disagree. Ox produced much more than Naby
@@danielcooper3868You can think Ox produced more, that's fine. The idea he produced so much more though, that he is worthy of being ranked 11th whilst Naby is last on the whole list... is a complete joke
@@onetwo8847that’s fair, I agree Keïta should definitely not be last.
Keïta played 129 matches over 5 years, contributed with 11 goals and 7 assists from a defensive position, while Chamberlain played 146 matches over 6 years, contributed with 18 goals and 15 assists from an attacking position.
Klavan was 1,5 million signing, very few injuries and helped win quite a few important games.
Liverpools best 2 seasons of 19/20 and 21/22 was also the 2 seasons Naby played his most football and was a key part of our midfield in both them seasons. Yes he was expensive but nowhere near the worst signing.
Agreed, he was definitely a disappointment but at the same time he was very useful at times
He was part of our best midfield under klopp (keita fab Thiago)
Saying he’s last place instead of players who have worn the shirt barely 10 times is ridiculous
never lived up to the price tag (and i think he had some head issues), but he was not that bad. its just the cost that makes him a bad signing.
Agreed i would even put Thiago lower than him. Just by the fact we did not really need to make that signing.
He was never ever key
Paul knows his stuff, redmen are one of the best fan channels out there
I wish Paul would do these for other managers. That was an amazing listen. Great job both of you
Szoboszlai on position 21? Did you notice what kind of work he put down to the pitch for months. Almost the only one who was playing and staring in all pl games for long months while sometimes doing two mans jobs because someone was sent off. Of course he got tired and got injured. It was booked this will happen. Klopp knew as well, just couldn't afford to leave him sitting on the bench. Otherwise his numbers are still fucking solid.
I agree with Maych regarding Loris Karius. Good to see some humanity in the pundits, nothing else to add.
i have always felt sorry for the guy
people seem to also forget Ramos drove his elbow right into his head concussing him
@@juckoosaurus Yeah that elbow certainly seemed to make solid contact with Karius's head.
Thiago is criminally overrated in the context of this conversation but I would hardly agree that Keita's performances were "amazing"
Your mad keita barely break 10+ games a season wild. Thiago had a couple in 20+
And also contributed to the quad title run
You wanna compare that to keita???
@@resolute7177 Thiago’s one good season was the quad run. He got injured through out last season and in his first season he was injured for 3 months and a bit unlucky that Fabinho got injured that season but he wasn’t good in his first season.
To me he’s the same as Keita, it’s just that Keita came for money than Thiago did.
@@siraajuddin736 Thiago was our best midfielder when he first came to Liverpool and played 30 games for us
he was our best midfielder when we were fighting for a quad and played 39 games
and he was our best midfielder last season when everyone else was sh_T playing 27 games
keita didn't do anything for liverpool and was poor in the games he played rlly only having 6 mnths of good football
your ball knowledge is awful
@@resolute7177 Fabinho and Curtis Jones were our best midfielders in Thiago’s first year. In the quad he was arguably the best midfielder. Last year Bajcetic and Curtis Jones were our best midfielders.
Keita did get injured a lot but in the quad season he was actually fit and I thought Keita was in our best 11, in that year. Both him and Thiago in the FA Cup games played the best football and most creative football I’ve seen in a Jurgen Klopp midfield.
My point is that Thiago gets injured as much as Keita does. But why the hate for one and not the other.
Naby Keita last is mental 😭😭
😂😅i don't know what to say they really hate him
makes sense tbh. he was the least effective and impactful for the most amount of money. glass legs as well.
@@TheStickyDynamite he was key in two trophy wins playing throughout most of them, comparing that to caulker or Adrian is just stupid
His price tag is a big big factor, he should have been way better for that much money. But bottom is mad 😅
After Klopp's announcement that he's leaving, the timing of this video is uncanny...
This ranking is quite horrific to say the least
Thank you for putting in the time to actual spell all this out for everybody, cause the perception of both of their times at liverpool are so vastly different in these comments I just don't understand it
Karius was great leading up to the Final. Yes he lost us the final. But people forget he was immense in getting us there. Ontop of that it was proven after the game that the Ramos challenge on him gave him concussion, that happened prior to his mistakes within the game. He played the whole game with concussion.
Ramos won that final through GBH
Tell me one single game where he was good, let alone “immense”. He was horrific from the first minute he played for us until the last. I swear if the lad wasn’t incredibly good-looking, the internet’s opinion of him would be completely different.
@dannybuck2047he was shaky and shit ,roma almost equalised horrible goalie
@elliotknight99 fact he was never good ever just a odd guy stealing living
This is honestly my dream duo……….well, in this context just to be clear, nothing weird.
Its the price and the champions league shot which he skies which haints us
True - but Paul Maych and Redmen TV have always had an agenda against him. I'm glad their sicophantic support and love for Jordan Henderson has worked out so embarrassingly for them in this last year.
Yeah I think it’s also considering the price. Wasn’t he like £50m? That’s probably like £80-100m now with the mad inflation
a couple years on and the only naby keita memories that i can think of is that shot he stupidly balloons over in the ucl final and the one where he's genuinely confused as to how he's scored. says it all really
@@ryanmo you won't remember the goal vs Man u in that 5-0 or the banger vs Atleti?
Paul and James, well done. James excellent balance to let Paul do his thing. Paul....I know you have notes, but, still, even so you know the players like the back your hand and express it so well. That is we I watch Red Men religiously. My life is better with you in it. Thanks to both of you.
You definitely need to keep this format. Get similarly charming guys like Paul and do City’s Pep signings and Man Utd’s Ferguson signings(?)
Good luck with the charming City co-host
From the top 15, the players I really like are/were Elliott, Thiago, Diaz & Jota
Elliott has a very bright future.
As a Liverpool fan for 41yrs i love luiz diaz
Can't believe Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was that high on the list..
We did well despite Karius, not with Karius
I agree with Adam he did he was basically a stand in player between the post during that season, both Karius and mignolet was so average, ok shot stoppers but yeah even discounting those blunders in the finals they both just kept making handling mistakes
Yeah I agree with this comment, the placement was harsh imo
Karius should be below Keita
Putting Keita as the worst is crazy. Whenever he was fit and playing, he performed relatively well considering that he never had good string of games. Okay his fee and expectations were high but if not for his injuries, he was very good player. Putting him behind the likes of Arthur, Caulker, Kabak, Ben Davies, Grujic etc. no way.
Wow Paul from Maytchtv and redmen, the Liverpool OG showing why he's one of the greats.
This was a great watch, cheers chaps!
Takumi Minamino loooves a cup game haha. Hearing this brought back memories
Brilliant take on Karius fro Paul. I’ve only got YNWA mentality whenever he’s mentioned. Overwhelming sadness that evening. I feel like all Liverpool fans should share the negative vibes from that night 😩
Loved this, ‘dipping dry toast in water’ 😂
I feel like I watched a different Thiago career than everyone else. Obviously the injuries this year and last have been insanely frustrating but in his first season year he was absolutely crucial in champions league qualification and I would argue in the domestic double season he was out most important player. When he was out of the team played dramatically worse. I know the best ability is availability but I still feel he made great contributions to the club despite his injuries.
completely agree that double season he made our engine like midfield look aesthetic somehow.
Yeah Taki was a good guy but criminally overrated here. Endo will ultimately be a much better signing.
Endo has only started about 10 games remember. By the end of the season he will be above Minamino but Taki contributed greatly to us winning trophies
Elmo's WhenI'mliverpool video of that game against Burnley on boxing day is legendary. like the "Klavan-turn"
Damn this guy had some inside info that Klopp is going so made a tribute video
Taking over is an understatement😅 whilst I enjoy Paul’s insight during Liverpool transfer windows you barely got a word in James!
Absolutely loved this! Paul’s quality!
Paul is so great. Love his channel and on 888sport. Very knowledgable. Really good mix with James too, as they’re both into doing these sort of things properly😊

If he can stay healthy, he’ll be amazing. Although Connor Bradley is now ahead of him in the pecking order.

Paul is superb. So well spoken and knowledgeable and funny to boot
Adrian is a weird one because yeah people really shit on him nowadays for being the worst player in the liverpool squad but as they said he was so solid during the title winning year but I remember when we lost 3 - 0 against watford that ended the unbeaten run where his confidence was basically smashed and I dont remember him having a good game after that
😂😂😂Alisson was the goalkeeper in that game not Adrian liverpool won the 11 games that Adrian played in that title winning season

Ibou is a brilliant CB. Great at 1 on 1s and drifting out wide to cover. Nobody will replace Matip though, bros dribbling out the back is legendary.
Fact that Naby Keita wasn’t even that bad of a signing, shows how good Klopp is in getting the best out of players.
Great Video! So right about Jota as well, if you'd one chance, hes your guy
Don't know why James is so low on Gakpo. He is a winger being played as a 9 due to Nunez not being a real 9 or midfield due to a lack of creativity there or a system Klopp is trying to push in certain games. Gakpo getting consistent time on the left would finally show his talent.
As a LFC fan I can say that the Konate analysis is so accurate it's crazy
I LOVE that Matip is appropriately appreciated!!!!
Great to see Paul getting a back to the future reference in😂, great pod.
Thanks James, absolutely loved this
33 minutes was hilarious
It’s honestly so great that Paul mentioned most of the main memories of each one, brought back great times
Think Naby being last is a bit harsh. Was quality when he managed to get fit with a run of games. Just unfortunate with injuries.
Great work 💪💯
Paul's on tour. Seen him everywhere recently
Usually love your content and this was a fantastic episode! Love the humour of Scousers.
I'd put Keita above Carvalho, maybe even as high as 20.
Shaqiri was a master stroke. Hed won trophies and is sort of a lucky player.
Quality to bring on from the bench. Brilliant to have on training pitch
Can’t do that salute talking about a German coach that came from Austria 4:02
Paul making those great points about Adrian 👍👍
"Just a footballer".... superb! 😂
Darwin and Endo have been excellent this season.. Endo has been the best CDM out of all the signings this season and not just us the whole league
@14:02 I also feel for Karius. Just didn't have luck on his side bug he wasn't a bad keeper at all really.
Love Paul, great personality, you two work great together, he’s right about a bunch! He got a bunch wrong tho, Harvey above Shaq and Ibou is crazy, Naby Keita isn’t that low, and personally I think Diaz over Ox is crazy for what they’ve done for the club so far! But everyone gets some wrong, great podcast either way!🙏🏽🙏🏽
Karius was a decent keeper leading up to that final & I’ll always appreciate that from him. He was clobbered by Ramos in that game & I think that affected him!
This felt like sorting my closet where you find an old shirt you bought 3 years ago and forgot about 😅
