MNH originally intended Chung Ha to be the center of the group (she and most of the BVNDIT members all appeared together as barely-fictional "trainees" on a K-drama back then) but before the planned debut in mid-2017 MNH (wisely) decided to debut Chung Ha as a soloist. That put BVNDIT on the back burner, delaying the group's debut for almost two years. After they finally DID debut in 2019, BVNDIT had a busy year of activities, with three title tracks and four promoted b-sides. After "Jungle" in May 2020, there was intent to have BVNDIT come back later in the year, after Chung Ha's album Querencia. Unfortunately Querencia was delayed multiple times (and didn't sell as well as hoped) and the pandemic wreaked havoc on MNH's business (all those Chung Ha MVs and new company offices were expensive!). The BVNDIT members were placed on hiatus and things looked bleak enough that Seungeun decided to go on Girls Planet 999 in hopes of a fresh start. In the end it was two years between "Jungle" and "Venom" - of the five years since BVNDIT were essentially ready to debut in 2017, they have spend four of those five years on hiatus. Hopefully their company has a solid foundation again and will be able to do better for both Chung Ha and BVNDIT.
Bvndit is an acronym for "Be Ambitious N Do IT!" debuted April 2019. Their fans are Bvnditbuls, which is firefly in Korean. There is a big intersection of Moomoos, Insomnia, and Bvnditbuls because VOCALS. Yiyeon is the leader, rapper, who started this video. Second is Seungeun (double tricky vowel in Korean leads to TERRIBLE spelling in Latin letters, saying "sung-un" is easy and gets you 90% there) the dancer. Simyeong (yep it's shim-yong like Siyeon) has a quick appearance then Jungwoo the main vocal of the vocal group. Songhee was last to get a 1-shot but she made it count. Prediction: Songhee is your girl right now, but Simyeong will soon be a PROBLEM. 1:38
