    Way better production than Jugulator. I think it shows how important KK was.

    Top notch album, I’d say it’s slightly better than the 1st album because it’s a touch more refined.

    Great album. Judas Priest and kks Priest are great. We basically have both versions of the band putting out albums.

    As a Judas Priest fanatic for 40 years i am fed up with people complaining and criticizing seemingly just to whine about things they are not knowledgeable about.
    To begin by criticizing the artwork is ridiculous. Just look up the lyrics to 1977's the "Sinner" from Sin After Sin...
    "Sinner rides in with the storm,
    Black sun rising, His steed of fury, eyes of fire and mane ablaze"
    The artwork for this album is perfect portraying the lyrics.
    Next, please stop blaming Tim for any lyrics you don't like. Personally i have no problem with the lyrics. If you do take it up with Glenn Tipton for Jugulator or Demolition. If you don't like KKs Priest lyrics take it up with KK. Again i love all four albums.
    Next, PLEASE stop complaining about how Tim sings. If you know anything you would have heard Tim himself tell how he records in his high voice, midrange voice and also in his lower register and it is up to KK which vocals are used on the actual album. Ripper even said he was surprised KK used his higher vocals for the opening track "Sons of the Sentinel."
    Lastly KK is not imitating Judas Priest. He wrote the music along with Glenn Tipton for 40 years. As Tim also said,
    Instead of saying it sounds like Judas Priest...how about it sounds like KK Downing.
    Some people just want to complain without thinking or knowing what they are talking about. This album is KK Priest style Heavy Metal. Two thumbs up👍👍

    Rob Halford maybe is the End of JP but for sure he is not the Beginning, the first singer of the band wasn't him but Al Atkins, which founded the band with Hill and KK Downing.
    The new KK's Priest album kicks ass, is way better than the debut and even better than JP last albums.

    This album is so good. It's way more metal than the current version of Judas Priest and demonstrates KK's influence in that band which is sorely missing today.

    I think sound wise The Sinner Rides Again is the missing link between Painkiller and Jugulator. It's a great metal album.
    It's unfortunate that a great album is being overshadowed by petty minded tribalism. The situation now is no different to when Halford was out the band, including the whining from a vocal minority of fans.
    Personally I preferred the first KK's Priest album due to the variation in tracks, but The Sinner Rides Again is a heavy metal onslaught.

    British Steel fans didn't even know Rob Halford wasn't with Judas Priest in 1997. That's how out of touch with reality they are while living in their Radio-friendly world.

    Just listen the album with an open mind and be objective. It's much better than Firepower. Ripper has a much wider and better range than than Halford. Listen to rippers EP as well; pure quality thrash. Listen to Ripper with Malmsteen as well or Iced Earth. I just listened to this album 10 times in a row, and would still listen more. Listen it with an open mind!

      Rob Halford is 72. He was a much better singer up to Nostradamus when his voice began to decline than the 57 year old Tim Owens. I agree that The Sinner Rides Again is a much better album than Firepower but much weaker than the all mighty Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin after Sin, Stained Class, Defenders of the Faith or Painkiller.

    Judas Priest is the unique talents and personalities of KK, Tipton and Rob as a writing and performing team. Unfortunately Judas Priest doesnt have Tipton nor KK, and Rob sure doesnt sing like the golden days. Meanwhile KK is shredding and writing riffs like he is 20 years old, brings the dual guitar attack like the golden days of JP and has a singer who can still do the highnotes and who's main critique (from many) is that he sounds to much like Halford. Sure KK's Priest is no Judas Priest, but Judas Priest itself is no Judas Priest as we all grew iup with and who collectively wrote all those great songs. JP still writes good songs but the energy is lacking and the stage performance not very exciting. Then there is KK's band..the songs are rougher around the edges..but man do they slay and bring the energy like it's 1984. It sure seems KK was the balls and rock 'n roll in JP.

    Back in 97 in Phoenix, the metal kids were talking shit about "Halford who?" and they didn't realize he was behind them in a booth tapping his finger on the table. They just laughed harder when they seen him. Jay Jay would also come to his rescue from time to time. 😂

    It is not Judas Priest writing on the artwork. It is called calligraphy. Judas Priest used it on the first three albums. They did not invent calligraphy. The lyrics are better than Jugulator and Demolition. It sounds like KK Downing's writing. Stop saying it sounds like Judas Priest.

    Oh my God who’s the grumpy guy in box number 4? lol 😂 The truth? Judas Priest in my opinion are way better than KK’s Priest. But I really like the new album. There are some killer tracks on This album. Sometimes Tim Owen’s lyrics are very cheesy but he mostly avoids that here.

  • @taomahNEGEV
    @taomahNEGEV ปีที่แล้ว +1

    25:21 Right on point. This albums is so much better a Heavy Metal album than the 2021 miserable Sermons of the Sinner. K.K Downing is definitely hellbent to prove Judas Priest is unable to be Judas Priest without him. He, however, forgets the fact that it's him who walked out of the band when they needed him most. I wish he'd stayed and recorded The Sinner Rides Again with Judas Priest with just much better lyrics. Anyway, you lost all metal credibility the moment you stated that the poor, ridiculous Demolition was the best Judas Priest album.

  • @albertkprs7348
    @albertkprs7348 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I do not agree with "Rob Halford is the beginning of Judas Priest and the End". For me JP is KK/Tipton first and Rob second. Just like Maiden is Harris first and Bruce second. or Purple is blackmore first and Gillan second, etc. Take the solo records of Halford for example, the are great but are not JP to me. Even Tipton's solo record sounds more like JP to me even tho Rob doesnt sing on it.

      Priest Live cd. Buy it. First song - what - has 2 vocal Halfords overlapping ?
      A concert cd ? The 1st song is overdubbed with RH background singing ?
      To me, that was completely idiotic.

    • @madgascoin2901
      @madgascoin2901 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@seagullpoet Halford has always needed help since Unleashed in the East due to "druggin' and drinkin'' but 88 is very questionable as he's literally lounging around the stage while Holland drumming is being overdubbed as well since he was replaced on Ram it Down with a drum machine. Sinner and Victim of Changes that tour were from 1984 live recordings. Also when Halford was in Fight, his sound man was too slow to cut the reverb on the vocals so Halford had to given him the 'cut it" gesture.

    I agree with the statement: Rob Halford is the beginning of Judas Priest and the End.For me the best Ripper Albums were: Jugular and Demolition... (Glenn s credit seams crucial) KK priest is not comparable with Judas Priest.The lyrics are bad on KK Priest... No clue what the message of those Albums should be - the revenge feelings and hate from KK pierce kinda through- Guitar Riffs from KK are great- but the songs themself are ok...
