Love the Siemens Duewags. Many happy memories with them. The seats are always very comfortable! It's sad to see how tired they are all getting now, inside and out. I just hope that South yorkshire future tram carries out the refurb they promised they would so then they would all be up to scratch just like 105. It will be interesting to see if they can keep them going until 2032 as they predict. The youngest siemens tram turns 31 this year!

Yes they are nice trams. Yes they are tired but compared to other much younger trams they are doing well

@@StevenHughestransportvideos Considering that the oldest is now 33 years old, I would agree!

@trainman86trainstramsandmore they appear to be in a similar condition to the Blackpool Flexity fleet in terms of cosmetic appearance, and the Flexity fleet is only 13 years old.

@@StevenHughestransportvideos Yeah, sometimes people in Sheffield feel that the tram system is underfunded (given that we use 30+ year old trams still) but then you have to remember Blackpool's tram system. I believe one of the flexities has been out of service for a good couple of years now requiring repairs?

@trainman86trainstramsandmore yes 005 has been out for a couple years. I guess it costs a lot to get a tram repainted, especially as most systems don't have a paint shop so it would involve sending the tram away.
