I got tired of having this unlisted so whatever here it is. Parts of it aren't great, but i still think it's a decent watch. we used a lot of photos without permission so if you have an issue feel free to gently murder me :)
Nice video. It would be awesome if someone with money bought the tower and put up a restaurant. I've been familiar with the tower since the 1990's. I grew up in the Cleveland area buy my family started going to the Cathedral Buffet since back then. We didn't go there for the religion but for the food lol. They always had good food at good prices. We would go on Sunday's and it always had a decent crowd but would be packed on special holidays like Easter and Mother's Day. In the 2000's I often had to go to Akron for work and would stop there for lunch. I ate there until they closed the buffet for good. I always loved looking at the tower and wishing they would finish it. Another cool thing at the Cathedarl Buffet was the Life of Christ display in the basement. It's a set of 12 dioramas with carved figures depicting the life of Jesus. It was pretty neat to see as a kid and I continued to go there to see it every once in a while as an adult.
Our Cuyahoga Falls High School graduation was held in the Cathedral of Tomorrow. That was before Rex's Erection was built. I had never been inside the Cathedral of Tomorrow before. I remember being shocked because the big portrait of Rex Humbard on one side of the interior double doors was just as big as the portrait of "White Jesus" on the other side of the doors. Struck me as the height of egoism, and well, just plain wrong. hahahaha

He couldn't quite rip off enough cash from the pensions of gullible little old ladies afraid of death to finish his monument to himself.
Cuyahoga Falls, the land of my ancestors.
