If you haven't already you should really craft an Imperial Decree before Final Shape, as you may not be able to pick up the heirloom then. It's easily the best legendary kinetic shotgun in the game for pvp.

Do you have to own season of defiance to get the shotgun, it won't drop engrams for me from that season nor will it give me the seasonal artefact
You have to own at least season of defiance.
Bungie just gave everyone the last 3 seasons for free! We can all get those engrams now.

I have Conditional Finality, but the issue is, depending on my build I may need another exotic, but this is the best legendary option I have seen.
I actually whipped the decree out this week! Was using gally so exotic slot was taken, I decided on decree for my shotgun to use with Luna. Remembered how good it was comparable to the GOD roll astral I used to use.
Go with Max Handling and a Range MW. It’s perfect and feels great.
I like the shader... That 3 piece fish gun was a "chief's kiss"
Seems like the red border odds are really good too, got the pattern within 60 engrams

Dude I love this shotgun. I’ve had an uncrafted roll without opening shot and it feels so consistent. Cant wait to fully craft it with enhanced perks later tonite!💯🔥

@@althechicken9597 I know right. You can think of me as a Predictable but Classic guy, I may run a shotgun, but I never ape with it. I use my Auto Rifle or Pulse first, and Shotgun second

I got a small bore assault mag threat detector opening shot roll before I got the red borders. The sword is the only thing that drops

It’s the Trials of Osiris curio and shader.
Conditional is only being used a lot because of Wells and Bubble. still can one shot kill at ranges shotguns can do, but its just good counters to them.

How does crafted Imperial Decree compare to a crafted Ragnhild for pve? I’ve got 2 pve crafted versions of Ragngild (ALH + frenzy, and ALH + one-two punch)

It's a great shotgun, I love mine. It dropped around the same time astral horizon came back into the trials loot pool so it went a little under the radar for a lot of pvpers.

Sooo you need to get red borders which apparently you can get 1 out of 60 engrams, do id have to run deepsight missions 24/7 for like 2 weeks straight

yes but until june 3 all seasonal weapons are obtainable for everyone, you can look at the most recent bungie article for more details

Try again. They recently allowed all players to access these older red borders
Been wanting to get into pvp and develop my skill. Crafted the shotgun today and started using it with strandlock and I have to say, this thing is great. Pairing this with a heal clip mag howl Luna. Long ways before I git gud but this definitely helps lol. Thanks for the vid!

You have to buy the annual pass. It's currently $10 on PS store.
i've only started using decree this season and i wonder why it took me this long to use it.

Imperial Decree has been my main PvE shotty since it dropped(I was lucky enough craft it very early).
I run Threat Detector with Trench Barrel.
Absolute workhorse in all difficulties.
For PvP, I just use slugs lol.

Once Bungie unlocked all the seasons for ps plus i forgot about this shotgun. Thank God your video popped in my feed. Been enjoying the old season content, already had lightfall for $20 but definitely going back in to defiance battle grounds. Been doing the season of the deep stuff, but got a whole month to play anything now. One exception though....the dungeons for the those seasons aren't free, $20 a piece so no thanks on that!
Outside of exotics this is and has been my favorite shotgun since it came out. It's a monster with slide shot opening shot.

Yeah if conditional gets nerfed it will definitely be my go to. Mine got 41 range 51 handling with same perks I love it.

i got smoothbore as well . I saw from a past video that the pellet spread isn't that much anyway. Not sure if that still holds true after the latest big update

If you own the season the patterns drop. But it takes a ton to unlock the sword and Shotgun patterns. I would 100% use the seasonal pattern unlocks on weapons you want

Potentially. The pellet spread is more body shaped so you're more likely to hit all the pellets in a single shot.
@@theremnants6807i crafted the imperial decree and i think i like it a lot better lol. idk what it is but i feel like even with quick draw and a dexterity mod my frac still comes out too slow but threat detector on the imperial makes it crispy crispy

Ok how do I get defiant engrams?
Is there a specific season I needed to purchase cause I'm just about to finish the lightfall campaign and I've never seen a defiant engram.
Get the artifact from the helm and after that the engrams will drop randomly or u can do the battlegrounds

As long as you got the lightfall deluxe edition you can have access to the season therefore you'll have access to the shotgun.

@@boltzq yes. The weapons can be unlocked within the seasonal activities and exotic quests. The pass exotic itself can be accessible through the lost lights kiosk in the tower if you didn't get it from the season pass.

You'll need to buy the season pass for Lightfall which will give you all 4 seasons of quests to do, but I suggest you not do that as we only have 1 month until all that seasonal content goes away.
Your best bet for a good kinetic shotgun is snag a high range Riiswalker while Iron Banner is still here, preferably with Opening Shot or craft this season's slug Shotgun called Supercluster.
Otherwise you can use one of the good energy slot shotguns that are farmable. Farm for a Matador 64 from Grasp of Avarice if you have that dungeon, or do The Coil and go for a Retold Tale. If all else fails, pull a Felwinters Lie from the legacy gear section of the exotic kiosk at the Tower. It's still a serviceable Shotgun with a good static roll.

I'd swap Corkscrew for Barrel Shroud, personally. The range from Corkscrew isn't necessary at all since you hit max range with all other perks.

When you say that Imperial Decree is the only craftable aggressive shot gun Isn’t there a Hakke Shotty that’s also a craftable aggressive frame? Idk I haven’t played Destiny consistently for like half a year (been on that Fortnut grind tbh) I forgot a lot of stuff so I could be wrong💀
