  • Josh Gratsch and Josh Perry, both with diverse athletic backgrounds, converge on shared principles in their professional pursuits.
Gratsch, a committed lifelong learner, values hard work, pragmatic optimism, and creating an environment of transparency and vulnerability as a leader. Meanwhile, Perry, a former BMX athlete turned performance coach, leverages his journey of overcoming adversity to guide others in refining their mindset and using challenges as opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Together, they embody a collective ethos of resilience, continuous learning, and empowering others to realize their full potential.

How often do you catch yourself being held back by stories rooted in fear?
In the labyrinth of our minds, a dance unfolds between conscious and unconscious thoughts, shaping the narrative of our lives. Often, we move through the world without truly considering what we're thinking about, yet these thoughts carry the power to propel us forward, leave us stuck, or prompt a retreat in the face of adversity.
Enter Josh Gratsch and myself, two individuals whose athletic journeys became not just a physical pursuit, but a profound exploration of the mind. We recognized that the thoughts we harbor, especially the ones hidden in the recesses of our unconscious, create emotional reactions that can be the keys to progress or the chains that bind us.
For Gratsch, the commitment to being a lifelong learner started in baseball as a pitcher and led to an understanding of the importance of self-talk, balancing confidence with humility, and facing challenges with pragmatically optimistic eyes. As a leader, he discovered that transparency, vulnerability, and creating a space for others to feel seen and empowered were instrumental in fostering success.
My path, carved through the ramps and shadowed by a battle with multiple brain tumors during my BMX career, unveiled the intricate relationship between mindset and achievement. The journey, initially a quest for personal glory, transformed into a calling to guide and support others in enhancing their mental performance and quality of life. This calling inspired me to pivot from a professional athlete to a performance coach.
We embody the notion that athletic experiences can serve as laboratories for understanding and leveraging the nuances of the mind. We aim to master the art of specific, meaningful focus and self-talk, and to utilize these tools in transcending limitations that propel us forward in our professional lives.
So, as you navigate your own journey, consider this: What stories rooted in fear are holding you back?
How might a shift in mindset, inspired by the wisdom of these athletic alchemists, propel you toward your goals?
