    Thank you Pawan for all the valuable information. It helps a lot! I'm also an international student and I heard that it is very difficult (if not impossible) for us to get into New Grad Programs. Is that true from your perspective?

    Hi Pawan, I have a query, if we do the enrolled nurse graduate program the does that count as an experience for applying 491 visa? Please reply. Thanks

    • @PawanSandhuPS

      Hi Nikita,
      New graduate Program in Australia for both Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses counts toward “post graduate” experience, whichever visa you might be going for :)
      Hope this helps.

      If you have already completed your nursing degree, you’d have to go through the OBA pathway to get your degree assessed in Australia before you can work here :)

    • @PawanSandhuPS
      @PawanSandhuPS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lisa,
      Congratulations on completing your nursing degree :)
      I believe, working 1 year as a new graduate is not classified as PY. Instead you can eventually start claiming points for your experience gained in nursing in Australia.
      I will be posting a video on Permanent Residency and the point system, so make sure you subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on any of my upcoming videos.

    • @PawanSandhuPS
      @PawanSandhuPS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Damanpreet,
      It’s really hard to predict when will Australia open borders for international students, we can only hope it’s sooner than later. Good on you for enrolling in online study though, at least no time is being wasted and as soon as the borders open, most universities will commence on campus study as well. How far into the course are you ?

      If you are keen on working in Aged care and helping the most vulnerable people in the community, I’d say go for it.
      Well, while certificate III provides basic knowledge, certificate IV provides more of an advanced training and skills and in most cases, you’ll be given credit for some units of the course but check it with the University/organisation you’d be applying at and they’ll be happy to guide you through based on your current qualifications :)

    Hi I have worked as registerd nurse in Nepal for five years and I’m planning to apply for master of nursing practice ... is this nursing graduate program available for master graduate also? Or only for bachleors nursing ?

    • @PawanSandhuPS
      @PawanSandhuPS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sumita,
      I believe you’ll hav to get your bachelor’s assessed by Australian authorities before you start working here in Australia, whether you choose to study Masters or not. And I also believe the New Graduate Programs are for Newly Graduates only and not for post grads. I hope this clear things out for you :)

    may you please tell me is this leading to RN or not?
    or which course should i take??

    • @PawanSandhuPS
      @PawanSandhuPS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Maxima,
      For you to become RN in Australia (with a Background of physio therapy) you need a graduate entry to Bachelor of Nursing in a university and not Masters of Nursing. In fact, only people who are already RN, can go for Masters of Nursing.
      I hope that clear things up for you.

    Hi ma'am, I found no university for bachelor of nursing in Australia that accepts PTE overall 65 but 60 in one section please suggest to me some university names who accept this score.

    • @PawanSandhuPS
      @PawanSandhuPS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mian Sabtain,
      In most case, universities will specify the English score need for “registration with AHPRA” which is IELTS 7 each. However, checking with them about your current score, with 6.5 in one section of the test and 7 overall, I’m sure they’d let that go. And of course, upon completion of your degree, you’ll need to sit the test to get that 7 each score for sure.
      I hope this helps :)

      @@PawanSandhuPS but ma'am I've checked every university's website they're demanding 7 each in each section so what should I do please help! Totally disappointed.

    • @PawanSandhuPS
      @PawanSandhuPS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mian,
      Don’t worry about what’s written on their website.
      The way you need to approach this is - get in touch with the university/universities of your choice and email them with your English test results and explain that “you understand that IELTS 7 each is needed to get registered with AHPRA at the end of your degree”. Most universities are considerate, especially given the current situation of desperation for international students. But this is if you’re only lacking in one section of the test with 6.5 instead of 7 and an overall score of 7.
      Try Avondale College of Higher Education
      or University of Western Sydney for an instance.
      All the best :)

    Hi maam
    What is the difference between 1.5 and 2 years diploma in nursing ?

    • @PawanSandhuPS
      @PawanSandhuPS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sumit,
      The course is spread over two years instead of 1.5 years, might have more clinical placements ?! I’m not sure about that. But, all international students should always go for the 2 year study as they’d able to apply for a work visa upon completion. Hope this helps :)
