  • Hello friends,
    In this video, I have answered the most common questions that most of us have, when starting our journey as an international student abroad. After landing here in Sydney in 2015, as an international student from India, I went through a few jobs as a nursing student. Learning from my personal experience, I pinned down a few pointers for all of you.
    In this video, I have covered the following:
    - why Australia is a great place to work for international students 🇦🇺
    - what does “Full time, Part time and Casual” work mean 🗓
    - Job opportunities for international students (in general) 👩🏻‍🎓
    - Job opportunities for nursing international students 👩🏻‍⚕️
    Make sure you watch it till the end ☝🏼

    Very informative video Pawan! Just a quick question though, do you have any tips on how to collect good references on your placements, as well as some pointers on how to keep in contact with some of the RNs from hospital? I’m eager to be more proactive, but I’m a little unsure of where and how to even begin😅
    Thank you again for all of your videos, there really isn’t a lot of channels out there specifically catered for international nursing students in Aussie! Keep up the good work 🥳

    • @PawanSandhuPS
      @PawanSandhuPS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Melati, thank you so much for your kind words, appreciate your feedback 😊
      To ask for a reference, all you've gotta do is ASK! just literally speak to your mentor and express your interest in applying for a position as an AIN/RN and ask if you could list them 'as your referee' on your resume. So if they agree to it, they'll provide you with a phone number and/or an email.
      And if you don't see your referee for a while, you can keep in touch via writing an email to them every now and then.
      I hope this helps :)

      Hi Parteek,
      Background in science subjects is desirable, not mandatory. The entry criteria for International students is basically - completion of Year 12 and English Test with IELTS 7 each.
