Nursing assistants make $27 / hour?! I got paid $15 / hr in America but thank you so much for the information! I applied to nursing school in Australia from America. Really hoping I get in!
Very informative video Pawan! Just a quick question though, do you have any tips on how to collect good references on your placements, as well as some pointers on how to keep in contact with some of the RNs from hospital? I’m eager to be more proactive, but I’m a little unsure of where and how to even begin😅 Thank you again for all of your videos, there really isn’t a lot of channels out there specifically catered for international nursing students in Aussie! Keep up the good work 🥳
Hi Melati, thank you so much for your kind words, appreciate your feedback 😊 To ask for a reference, all you've gotta do is ASK! just literally speak to your mentor and express your interest in applying for a position as an AIN/RN and ask if you could list them 'as your referee' on your resume. So if they agree to it, they'll provide you with a phone number and/or an email. And if you don't see your referee for a while, you can keep in touch via writing an email to them every now and then. I hope this helps :)
