Wei Wuxian may be the untamed one, but the series is an ode to Lan Wangji's wait and love, even though he had no real hope.

This story will always and forever have a place in my heart. The story is a masterpiece because it gave us characters that touched our soul. The selfless Wei Wuxian who sought happiness for his loved ones even if it means destroying himself. Lan Wangji's admirable loyalty, who waited for 13 years without reassurance that the person he loves would come back, but still never wavered. Jiang Cheng's imperfection, he harbored hate for his brother but behind those facade is his love for him. The Yi City arc taught us that even the nastiest person to have ever existed is still human and can have someone they'll treasure for life. And the fall of the three zuns that taught us that even if we had all the patience and understanding in the world, it is futile for someone who doesn't want to change.
The story showed us different types of love and that hate is not the opposite of it. Truly, this story will live for thousands, hundred thousands of years.
Beautifully said, I think this drama is a very special one. It gives life to relationships of not just love but comradery and what it means to be loyal and selfless.

Definitely. I've never seen such a pure and beautiful story like this before. It's really a special story that gives you a rollercoaster of emotions. I love that this drama took their time and created 50 episodes. I would definitely love if there was a season 2 with the same cast. But that's probably not gonna happen... I don't know why but I instantly get teary whenever I see them. The drama, anime, novel, audio drama, comics etc, when all of them cone together, you just realize how profound the characters and their relationship is. It fills you with warmth seeing them end up together, taking care of each other and spoiling each other, something they didn't have as kids, just because individually you fall so deeply for these characters and their hearts. As children, Lan Zhan was isolated, Weiying was fighting to survive on the streets, Lan Zhan devoted his life in taking care of WY silently not that long after they met, while Weiying never thought he could be loved like that, he was busy trying to repay the debts he owed to the people who took him in. In a way he was repaying the debts Jiang clan owed to that one part of Wen who helped them a lot by protecting them.
They suffered a lot before they found peace and happiness in each other. I'll never forget this story or characters.

I think, it was their fate, their destiny from the start to meet and fall in love. If people belong together, they find a way to be together forever. Even if something terrible tears them apart, they'll be together at the end.

I've watched so many dramas over the years. Nothing came as close to this. They focused on the main couple yet you didnt feel like it was blank. Even if they stood miles away from each other, you could see the chemistry going on. Every song was so well written and composed. Its exactly how I imagined the songs to be. There are many dramas like Eternal love that I have liked in the past, but none of those dramas gave me the kind of feels this does. It will forever be in my heart. The story was so unique to begin with. Especially a period drama with bl, that's amazing. MXTX surely did great with that. And all of her characters are so well written and they portrayed it beautifully in the drama. Despite the changes from the novel, I absolutely loved the drama too

I checked it out and found that in order for that to resemble romance (you know what I mean), the last bow has to be that to each other, which is not true in the drama. Am I missing something?

This story was truly amazing. I can not say how beautiful well thought out this story was. Novel, anime, live action anything, I would not change this story for the world. If they ended together in the novel as a couple, that's amazing, but the live action put much thought into their relationship. BL or Bromance the story itself is beautiful. The characters are memorable (actors did a wonderful job) and their love eachother is something that you can truly feel. The music was so beautiful and went well with the whole series. I'm happy with the ending of this story, it made me laugh, cry, yell, and smile. I wasn't mad about it ending, I was, of course upset, but the ending of the story seemed right. If they come out with a season 2, that would be great, but I like how it ended. This story will forever be amazing and it will have a special place in my heart.

Lan zhan sacrificed himself for his Wei Ying, he protected him and remained faithful despite everything happened to Wei Ying, he waited patiently although there was no possibility that Wei Ying is alive. Also, Lan Zhan broke a lot of rules for him, if that isn't love and not just for the sake of brotherhood then idk what to say to anyone anymore. I've always appreciated Lan Zhan in the drama, his love for Wei Ying is honest and true. Hope we could see them together again someday. ❤️

Their chemistry is so amazing and i can' t imagine someone else portrayed their respective roles...Done watching these series countless times already but still keeps coming back to watch it again and again. I tried watching other dramas, Chinese and Koreans as well but got bored easily and here i am back again for another rewatch...
