- I been avoiding jackfruit because of how squishy and messy it is but this year I fell in love with the flavor and I can't get enough.

My mom brought home a jackfruit weighing over 60 pounds from the province, I was tasked to lift it, I got some sap on my legs, but at least now I have lots of seeds to plant, she also brought like 7 kilos worth of avocado, I ate so much!

Soft jackfruit is not preferred because it has a vrry short shelf life
Only Crunchy varieties qre grown commercially
I grow several fruits with short shelf life for us to eat and I would love for people to be able to taste them but it's just not possible. This jackfruit was grown by my neighbor and ripened on the tree so they couldn't sell it at their fruit stand. I traded them for 80lbs of mango.
He did not just barehanded that fruit.. the sap is so sticky
this one was very ripe and had almost no sap. when there's a lot of sap I wear rubber gloves because it's difficult to wash off

you might be mistaking it with Durian. I've had a few jackfruit where the skin smelled bad and in both cases it was picked too early
