  • 3 full days in Mexico City aka CDMX was NOT enough! The vibrant capital of Mexico has beautiful architecture and museums, Aztec ruins in the center of the city, and delicious food from street tacos to World's Best voted bars & restaurants. As a female solo traveller, I felt safe staying in an airbnb in Roma Norte neighborhood, only drinking bottled water, venturing out in a group via airbnb experiences, taking ubers, and avoiding walking around at night by myself. Is Mexico City on your travel bucket list?! It should be!!!
    other recommendations:
    -Polanco is the boujee upscale neighborhood with 5 star hotels, luxury stores, and Pujol (in top 15 best restaurants of the world)
    -museo nacional de antropologia, museo de arte popular, Diego Rivera Mural museum, Biblioteca Vasconcelos
    -day trips to Teotihuacan hot air balloon ride, Tolantongo thermal pools, and Xochimilco boat tour
    -add on a couple days in San Miguel del Allende or Oaxaca
    let me know if I missed anything or where I should check out next time I visit CDMX!

      I would definitely stay in an airbnb so you can get a bigger space with multiple bedrooms for a better price. pick which neighborhood matches your vibe best and look for an airbnb in that area: Polanco is the boujee area with designer shops and hotels, Roma Norte (my favorite) has all the best food and boutiques in walking distance , Condesa is more quiet, romantic, and in the middle of everything, Centro is where all the attractions like museums, ruins, historical sites. For a family, i would definitely recommend staying in La Condesa or Roma Norte.

    thanks for your insight!! regarding coyocan, i know you mentioned plaza de santa catarina but are there any other specific parts of the area we should check out?

      It was a bike tour i booked thru airbnb experience so i had a guide who gave everyone bicycles and we followed him around! Across that plaza was a cute little cove where a restaurant named aurelia was and thats where i saw the coyote statues, the frida kahlo museum, mercado n 89, jardin centenario, parque allende,plaza hidalgo, plaza de la conchita.. these are the exact names of the stops we made!!

      Casa Wynwood Roma Norte, NaNa Vida CDMX, Circulo Mexicano, Zocalo Central & rooftop Mexico City, Historico Central Hotel are all hotels that I have seen on Booking.com and saved as my favorites that all look really nice. I think you can find more affordable airbnbs tho in my opinion.

    Hi! Do you need a reservation for Contramar? Thank you.

      Absolutely need a reservation at Contramar! The first day i got to mexico city, i walked by to try to get in and they were all full but had something available in a couple days when they first open. So they wrote my name down and i was able to go my last day of my trip at 11am lol. I heard They have a sister restaurant nearby that’s easier to get into tho

    Did you need tickets to walk through those ruins in the middle of the city?

    • @edenswilliams
      @edenswilliams  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      If you wanted to walk through them then you would need tickets, but it was free to observe from the outside.

      The inside not so much unless you are a big Frida or art fan. but the neighborhood its in is STUNNING so i would definitely go to the area Coyoacan but if you’re on a budget or short on time you can skip the actual museum. I did not know much about frida but I did love learning about her life.
