Excellent introduction for a new student of the game. I can see that we really need to know the history to understand the game today. So much information is given that I need to take some time to after each episode to digest it all. I really like your conversational presentation style. Thanks for sharing your vast knowledge.
I appreciate the amount of research involved in this project. This series has been great. One thing I was wondering about is there anyway of knowing what leagues and teams existed during these early years. It would be interesting to know about the politics involved. I get the impression that the Ivy league seemed to have all the say on the rules.
Uff da..... there certainly are ways of knowing that, it's just pretty complex. Politics is complex as well, and you're right - it was Yale, Harvard, Penn, and Princeton that controlled much of early football up until about 1905.
AWESOME WORK!!!! Thanks!!

Terrific information. I never knew how American football had emerged from rugby. Such a great story, well told by you!
I’ve been waiting my whole life for this channel
Thank you for explaining it. I have read a few old books about football but I could never really understand much of it.
I’m very much enjoying these videos, I’m binge watching all of them haha
I am glad you like them, hopefully I'll be able to make plenty more!
