- Right now I’m enjoying comedy reactions and the most highly suggested comedian for an Irish Girl reaction video was Jim Gaffigan. His name came up after I asked you guys for a PG comedian who doesn’t need to curse to be funny.
I think I’ve heard the name Jim Gaffigan before, with regard to him being an American standup comedian. I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen him before and today I will be watching his standup routine about McDonald’s for the first time.
James Christopher Gaffigan is an American standup comedian, actor, writer and producer. His material often addresses fatherhood, laziness food and general observations. Fittingly he is regarded as a clean comedian who uses little profanity in his routines.

Haha it’s cos he Knows if he’s a good boy while I’m filming, he gets a treat after. And he knows by the time I’m picking him up toward the end it’s nearly time for treats, so he’s very eager for me to finish

"Bacon" and "Hot Pockets" - Big hits of his - His take on camping is hilarious too, but if there is one thing he loves to comment on, it's food.

This was so much fun to watch! I love Jim Gaffigan! His most famous bit is probably his Hot Pocket bit, but my favorite by far is a clip from one of his specials on how weird holiday traditions are. I cry-laughed the first time I watched it.

Jim Gaffigan is one of my favorite comedians. During the lock down he put a video up on his TH-cam channel every evening and it was just him and his beautiful family sitting around the table eating dinner. It made you feel like you were part of his family. He has two girls and three boys and his wife is very funny as well. A great guy.

Jim Gaffigan is HILARIOUS! Here in the States we would say, "potty mouth", or, a more old school way of putting it would be to say he, "works blue".
Jim Gaffigan is definitely not blue. His new stuff has a slight bit of edge to it while his older stuff was really clean. It's all very funny.
He is definitely considered a clean comedian even though some of his stuff has a bit of an edge. I prefer clean comedians.
Jim was very clean in his younger years, but now that he has 5 kids, he's gotten a wee bit edgy. 😂

Jim Gaffigan is a cute, wonderful man with a great family. He wife became seriously ill not long ago and he devoted everything to her and spoke about it publicly. She's better now and Americans love them both very much. They are a great family.

Jim Gaffigan’s bits on horse jokes, as well as Canada are also pretty funny.
Talking about fries, when I was in college one of my best friends worked at McDonalds. We'd go in there are order a small burger and small fries and he'd give us a Quarter Pounder and go to the fry area and put a small fry in the bad and then about 3-4 more scoops of fries. The whole bag would almost be filled with fries. And he always got the ones right out of the fryer. It was great!

Hi Diane , Chewy, and ED . Funny McDonald's story from my childhood. My dad used to take to a McDonald's ( now long since closed) with a playland (slide and ball pit). This one particular time , I was about 4 so circa1986 and a little boy cut in front of me as I was starting to climb up on the steps to go on the slide. I had a "don't mess with me buddy' moment , next thing that boy knew, I he was on the ground after I pushed him and I was up on the slide, my dad was watching the whole thing. When he told my mom, she asked him if he'd really let me do that and he said yes . To date , 36 yrs later, that was my one and only assault and battery on another person

Jim Gaffigan is a great comedian and I was raised on Happy Meals. I feel like they peaked here in the late 80s and early 90s. But that's more because of the toys and collectable they had in that era. Still love their fries but I tend not to eat there often (especially after watching The Founder). I somewhat regret not eating there while visiting Europe to compare the quality and selection.
The Part at the end was like an Irish Curse.

Diane if you like this, then check out his bit about Hot Pockets, it's hilarious. One of Jim's signature gimmicks is his constant interjections of what audience members are "thinking" as he does his jokes. That's why he often changes his voice. Everything he does is really good, it's well worth the time.

My younger brother and I climbed to the top of Mt. Shasta at the north end of California, and when we finally got back to the car on Sunday afternoon, we headed through the drive-through at a McDonald's in the town of Shasta before getting back in I-5. I think I threw a left over granola bar out the window and we each ordered at least 5000 calories of food for the trip home to Sunnyvale, CA. I never was so hungry, and when I was home I was satiated. Heck I was losing weight fast due to Covid last year as I lost my appetite. One thing I did was get off the healthy diet and on a unhealthy diet that just tasted great: ice cream, two trips to McD's, pound cake, breaded shrimp, milk chocolate, and cheddar cheese with saltines, and lotsa water. In a week I went from a low of 125 lbs. back up to 136 and easily defeated Fauci's dream virus without HCQ or Ivermectin.
I'm telling you McDonald's has its place in the history of Western Civilization and it ain't all bad. Everything in moderation. :-)

Jim's wife is from my hometown (Milwaukee, WI) and he does a New Year's Eve show AND a New Year's Day show here. I genuinely can't recall how many times I've seen him and he's every bit as sweet as you'd expect.
